Personally, I can't fucking stand it.
The only thing worse than people gossiping is people who want other people to gossip about them. And it's not just girls. I know a lot of guys who are like this. Example? People who write blogs for the sole purpose of getting other people to start talking about them.

Sure, if I overhear someone talking about someone else - or if someone is venting about someone else to me, I find it interesting. But I usually stop right there. I don't tell the whole world about it and I'll never actively enquirer about someone.

This just fucking bothers me. Really does.

Gossip is necessary. I enjoy it. It's also the only way I find out everything that is going on at work. I don't find it all throug gossip, but some of it yes.

Detestable. I try to avoid it in real life, unless someone clearly needs to be warned about a certain person's tendencies for whatever reason. People really have nothing better to do with themselves nowadays, I suppose. The worst are the celebrity gossip columns in newspapers and such. Ugh.

The only person I feel comfortable gossiping with is my brother (since we've always been to the same school(s)..and we're only a year apart). Other than that, I try to avoid gossiping with other people...it just doesn't feel right.

Besides, I hate perpetuating possible lies about other people. My brother and I just do it jokingly.

i gossip with friends, But it's not normally trying to attack someone else or try to get something out. it's more just talkin shit about stuff thats happened. sometimes behind other peoples back. I hate the whole "high school" gossip where people start looking at you strange cause someone made up something. i saposebly had girlfriends in high school i never even knew about :O
