I know it's an Action game, but what kind of game is this gameplay wise? Forward scrolling Rail shooter type? Side scrolling 2D? 3D Free roaming platform style? It's a shooter right?

It's not that great though when more people refer to the first game as "That one game that came with the MGS 2 demo" than Zone of the Enders. :lol

I feel a little dirty. I never bothered with the GBA game, I heard bad things, but I blindly picked up the original ZOE when I first got my PS2. Terrible, terrible game. Hated it.

A couple of weeks ago I got involved in a different ZOE2 thread, and was convinced that it was just the opposite, brilliant actually. I'm now the proud (?) owner of all 3 ZOE games. Haven't gotten a chance to play 2 yet, however.

In an interesting turn of events, I wound up with an extra copy of ZOE1 (+MGS2 Demo).

The PS2 ZOE games are probably the most three dimensional games I've ever played. First time I played ZOE, I was shocked that I was in complete control of the insanity on my TV screen.
