not much there but people are making a massive deal out of it since athletes attacking fans rarely happens. Wonder what the guy said.
 
He could use a lesson in trolling skills from Marshall Henderson

the fan clearly said something to him when he was on the ground, then again when he got up, then the shove happened

Dude shouldn't have said anything if he didn't want trouble. People yell some vile shit at players at sporting events and mostly get away with it because they're far away.
 
Clearly Smart shouldn't have pushed the fan but I imagine that guy said something pretty fucked up to make him do that since other than this incident I think he's been a pretty level headed guy.
 
I love Marcus Smart. I can't wait to see what he does in the NBA let alone for the rest of the year with OKST. I'm sure some obnoxious shit has been said over the years and many athletes have shrugged it off so it shouldn't be any different here but not every player is the same. Some people take shit personally. I wonder what the fan actually said.
 
Fucking Henderson. Last year's NCAA's were so awesome. We had Florida Gulf Coast and Henderson trolling everyone. What a time.

Actually, every other "attack" i've seen was more violent. Yeah, it was wrong. But no, it's not something to go crazy over.

obviously he shouldn't have done it, but it's not surprising an athlete in that situation would pop off like that

That was a stupid move on smart part, regardless of whatever the guy said. There is a reason we hardly, ever see anything like this. That was a retarted move by him that could easily have got escalated.
 
Marshall Henderson is the top-tier of troll athletes.

As for this situation, my only takeaway is that the fan's wife needs to tone her ass down.

You don't set the precedent that fans are fair game, in any way/shape/form. Well, unless this is the re-drafting of the XFL/XBA.


Fan is clearly an idiot that may have said the N-word. Smart is clearly aggrr about his team's untimely losing streak. No reason to push fans. Walk away dude.

Hell, Oregon has lost 5 of 7 games by 12 points combined and the only thing coming out of Eugene is 'we have to get better'.

I dunno, I was watching it live and did not seem like that fan said much. Moreover the dude look terrified when he got in his face. Either-way that may explain his behavior but if he is lying to cover up losing his cool they should bench his fucking ass for the rest of the season.

Of course you'd prefer that he just ignore it and walk away, but the players are still human.
