Veterans are revealed via daily pics, mostly. Newcomers are revealed via sweet CG trailers. And during events or Directs.

Well, It's possible that we could get Diddy and Dixie since Diddy is half veteran character. I'm looking forward to see what would happens tonight.
Which Dixie rumor? There are few possibilities. Dixie could be secret character, would get announce much later in the future, or she will not be playable character.
This makes me wish the Lanayru Mining Facility was a stage instead of Skyloft. It is my favorite dungeon in Skyward Sword. I could see the time mechanic playing a role in the stage, like certain platforms disappearing as it switches between the past to the present.

Same here. I take this as an indication that we are going to see more character animations this time around.

Diddy definitely will return.
Diddy is weird by me as I absolutely loathe him. I don't even know why I hate him so much, he's my least favorite Nintendo character. I don't have a reason for it, I just really don't like him. But he'll definitely return as he has a fairly original moveset on top of the fact Donkey Kong obviously has had two notable titles since Brawl, one is about to release and will release before the new Smash Bros, so there is no reason to doubt he'll return.
While random tripping isn't wanted, I do hope his banana peels still make people trip.

Yeah, I have to agree. I wish it was like the Golden Hammer. Ya'know, a better version of the hammer but didn't replace it.

Oh yeah. I will love it if it's Diddy himself as well. Consider the fact that he is one of my main character in Brawl.
Reason why I don't mind to see Diddy & Dixie because it's Sakurai's original plan to input both as team in the game, so I want to see how it would work.
There are another small twisted, warped reason why I want to see Diddy and Dixie team to happens because NO ONE predict Diddy and Dixie team in Prediction Thread. I just realized that few days ago, so basically it would be automatically 0% if they got confirmed.
I want a squeaky bat now.

Yes, when characters are hit with enough force to be KOed, the player color coded flash appears as well as a sonic boom-like effect. Pretty and awesome!

I remember it being taken down for the Ashley reveal (probably because Sakurai didn't want people seeing the banner and thinking Ashley was playable), so it seems Sakurai might do it in both situations.

Yeah that was an odd one because the reveals were so close to each other. I was even doubting Zelda's reveal because of Rosalina!
