That Smash emblem at the end of the bat needs to be turned 90 degrees so it looks like a real bat. That's going to bother me.

It looks like tree bark... Especially in the 3DS version. I find it odd that they didn't just stick with Brawl's fur texture. *shrug*

Besides Samus' huge ass cannon, we haven't seen anyone's final smashes, so that's all still up in the air.
Edit: Oh and I guess Wii Fit Trainer's little colored sprites, I forgot about that.

The design is good and bad. It definitely stands out more with the colors but it looks more like a battle club with +3 attack and speed or something. I think I enjoy throwing the bat to get the kill someone almost more than getting the one hit KO. Lol

Because both of those now have "Smash Branding" associated with them and that makes it pretty awesome. As long as it stays consistent that's a pretty cool thing to do.

That would've been the best option, yes. But considering that there's more to DK's model than the fur that ticks me off in terms of accuracy, that would've only helped so much.
Well a quick Google search gave Link as left-handed and Mario as right handed in Brawl. But for the others, I don't know and I don't have my copy of Brawl with me to test who bats with which hand
iirc, not everyone really swung it like a bat. I'm not sure if Brawl changed it but I always thought that was a nice touch in Melee.

Well, Link is left-handed in pretty much every non-Wii Zelda game, so it only makes sense that this detail would carry over.
I haven't paid enough attention to the other swordsmen to say one way or another, though.

EU/NA Directs without Japan have happened before, I believe. Nothing new is shown in these, most of the time, just release dates.
Yup, looks like they're theming the smash original items so that they aren't confused with the items that come from established franchises.
Black Red and Yellow. I suspect other items will have this same color theme. Edit: They also have the smash logo on them as well, where they didn't have it previously, lending credence to my suspicions. They're themed to let players know they come from smash bros and not from zelda or mario or whatever.

It's interesting that the capsule was not recolored. Maybe because it's not an offensive item, but just a container.
