Titanfall Beta now taking applications, the thread of begging and whining

seems to pc codes are not being pushed as much as the xbones so far.

Maybe also it seems that different countries EA support are responsible for emailing out codes ? hence different timer periods and coming from different addresses ?

Definitely poor messaging.

Yeah that's for sure. He should know better than to say something when he's not sure. I'm sure a lot of people, myself included, preordered the game after that earlier comment.

Earlier tonight PC seemed to be wide open and Xbone was getting the shaft, it's funny how perception can change in a few hours. Look back to Dko5 posts and see how many PC codes they gave away vs Xb1.

This is persecution complex at its finest.

If you opted in for PC but got sent an Xbone code instead - I was told these steps would fix it. Apparently they have an automated system in place now to fix the incorrect code issues because of the large amount of support requests they're receiving.

1.On the EA Help Center - Search for Titanfall and select Contact Us.
2. Select PC as the Platform
3. Select the Topic - Demo/Beta and any topic.
4. On the next screen, when asking for What type of Demo/Beta issue you are having, select Eligibility
5. Then enter the Titanfall Beta code that is not working as the description of the problem.
6. Select Submit.
7. Then you will receive a new PC code within the next two hours.

Thanks for this, hope they'll sort everything out.

Other than there being no Australian servers (which obviously sucks), have they mentioned where they do have servers? Being in Finland, obviously hopeful about Finnish servers but even Sweden would be fine. Anything further than that might be a deal breaker.

Talking about PC version, if that matters.

You know the people who make those modbot giveaways can actually put individuals on a blacklist for that giveaway. And if your on here saying your spamming just to be eligible, guess who's going on that blacklist.

I come to GAF for news and just to see what people's opinions are. I am a lurker on this forum, I don't really have anything substantive to say that anyone should really give a shit about just like I don't give a shit about what most people say on here. I'd say over 50% of the post in this thread are a complete waste of space, all of mine included, but they're certainly not spam in the conventional sense.

My first post covered all I had to say about this thread and then some. I am here to figure out how to get a beta key just like everyone else, making 5 posts in this thread is a possible way to get a key. I made 5 posts as a means to an end, if I get banned or whatever, life goes on. However people calling it out sure are jackasses and I would argue posts like yours are just as much spamming this thread as I was.

Didn't get a code and I'm seriously depressed about it. Spent two hours last night F5'ing Zampella's twitter for 3 chances to get a code and spent another hour or so doing the same thing with the generous Respawn employee here on NeoGAF and I was always just slow enough.

What's also really depressing is that this is seriously how it goes with every single beta I've ever signed up for that distributes codes with a chance based system. Last weekend I got in ESO beta just because I paid $5 to join Curse Gaming for a month :-)

I have never in my life gotten a beta code for anything I wanted and I've tried every WoW expansion and even bought a Diablo 3 beta with money. I don't know why I keep trying LOL but I guess it's because "there's always a chance" :-D

As soon as you paid you got left with a "sucker" mark on your head. Your mistake was to cave in the first place......

I refuse to pay for a beta for a game I am buying, people that want to buy thier way in leave the door open for code hoarders, if there was no market for it then we could all get in honestly.... But unfortunately now the precedent has been set and ppl with too much money will pay way too much for 3 days game.

This goes for me as well. The only prize I've ever had were tickets to a rugby tournament. It was awesome, but yeah...

Well to be honest the Diablo 3 beta lasted for a couple of months and I paid 20€ for it so it wasn't that bad.

I will never get a TitanFall beta key, that's just how it is. I'm depressed because I've accepted it. Well not accepted 100% since I keep checking my email every now and then but I don't actually expect anything.

I would say this is true for me to but I always get in the most low tier hyped up game beta in existence lol

I usually get them at the wrong time, like getting given a hearthstone beta key 2 days before the open beta for example :D, with titanfall I just know I'll get a PC key a few hours before the beta ends which will be spent downloading it - and not getting to play it.

I have to admit that is kind of a funny scenario, lol.

You win again EA! Iv given up on trying to out smart your support folks, they are just too clever for the internets.

Looks like i'll just play the waiting game for my beta code.

I never even bothered trying this support trick stuff. I ain't getting a code and I should just figure out something else to do. Blaaaah :-D

Got up to.... no email. I could start TheApatheticOne's Salt Company at this point.

This is my most highly anticipated next gen game. The main reason, among others, I bought an XBO. I was an F5 warrior last night, was here the milli-second XBO codes came up, had one being redeemed within 5 seconds.... and missed out. I requested a beta code within moments of the site going up. With my work all weekend, I'll be staying in. I'm very irritated at this point, whether I should be or not.

I know buying these is considered "sucker"-ish, but ...... I tell ya.....

Just checked, lowest I can find on ebay is $40....nope. $20.... I'd be lying if I said I wouldn't pull the trigger. Movie and popcorn justification.

How do you know that?, did they email you telling you? or via you on live chat?.

At the end of the chat the rep said this: Thanks for contacting us about your Issue. These claims are taken seriously and if the provided information proves to be false or fraudulent, necessary action may be taken against your account as a phisher/phishing attempt.

all I did was post 2 screen shots of someones beta email, and a screen shot of my Alpha email with the beta key photo shopped into it.

Got an XB1 code today, ended up costing me the price of a 12 month live sub to use it though...I was going to buy one for this next month anyway I suppose. Downloading now.

When I select the top of Demo / Beta and go to the next screen I just get an "Email Us" option and as such cannot complete the steps any further.

Anyone found a fix for this?
