Games you remember, names you don't

I remember a game in arcade that had a boy that looked like Goku and shooted fire balls from his fists. The first stage took place in a lab.

Anyone?

There was a Batman game on PC back in the late 90s. Looking back it was in the style of the Animated Series (though I didn't know that at the time). It was really just a collection of mini-games, like mixing flasks of chemicals, driving through a maze-like Gotham and avoiding oil slicks by programming the Batmobile's moves in advance, and even had like a "coloring book" mode where you could use this magic sponge that just fills in all the right colors.

Unless I really overlooked something, I couldn't find a Wikipedia page on it at all

Have a look at Batman Activity Centre and The Adventures of Batman and Robin Activity Centre, maybe one of them.

Some sort of game that played like DOOM or Wolfenstein 3D. I can remember watching my dad play it and seeing some sort of doctor (or what looked like a doctor) turning and shooting at the player. May have been set in a castle of sorts?

Found it: Thunder Hoop

So I'm trying to remember the name of a DS game. Here's what I know:

- point and click style adventure game
- released in PAL land before US
- may have had different names in different regions
- the title had the word 'code' somewhere
- main character was female, white/grey hair and wore a red t shirt

Anyone got any ideas?

Another Code: Two Memories/Trace Memory

Indie diablo-a-like game that's in early development right now. It's supposed to have a super-realistic physics-based engine.

A mega drive game, platformer where the objective was to climb up through the clouds to a castle? Might not be exactly that but there was a castle in the sky!

Need help identifying a game.
Old PC game that I could've sworn was made by eidos but I don't see it on their wiki list.
It was a spaceship game where you piloted a ship with a skull on the front. It was in a first person view and similar to descent from what I can piece together.

My first thought of games that are like Descent always brings me to Forsaken. But I don't know if the ship had a skull on it. But from what I remember of the attempted hardcore-ness of the aesthetic, a sick skull would totally be on theme.

Sadly thats not it.
But you at least reminded me of that game.
The skull spaceship I mentioned was prominently on the box art.

How old though would you say it was? Also was it actually like Descent, set in closed spaces?

Miner Wars 2081 comes to mind from newer games, has a sort of a robo skull like logo.

Terracide, perhaps? It is indeed Eidos - maybe Wiki is incomplete?

This box reminds me of a game I've been trying to track down too!

I never actually played the game but I remember seeing the box for it in our local GAME years back.

As far as I can remember it was a space shooter but the detail that got me the most was that it featured music by Dog Eat Dog and/or possibly Pop Will Eat Itself. It was for pc and would have been around the time of Windows 95 being introduced. It was also in the old style big boxes.

The only games I remember with a similar soundtrack are the Loaded series so please someone tell me that I haven't just dreamt this.

A PS2 game set in a school is all I have to go on. Could have been a horror/mystery type but I can barely remember.

Dog Eat Dog? Are you sure it wasn't Alien Sex Fiend? Because that sounds a lot like Inferno.

Gosh, that's not a lot of information. With that little to go on, I'm not sure you're going to get an answer, because the game you're thinking of is probably a bit obscure.

(I'm so, so sorry)

As the previous person said Obscure seems most likely. My second guess could be Ghosthunter (believe a different title in Europe if that's where you are) because the first level takes place in a school. There's a chance you only saw the first hour of the game?

Edutainment game for the Mac, released in 93-94, I'd say.

You played as a scuba diver and went searching for treasure in a colorful sea environment. It was played from a side-view, but I don't think it scrolled' I believe it was a flip-screen only. Graphics would have been the equivalent of VGA, but for Mac.

I think it had "cove" in the title but I still can't find it.

Ok I need some help remembering a game. It's been bothering me all day. I was playing Titanfall earlier and for some reason it brought to mind a game that must have come out at least 10 years ago. I'm pretty sure it was an fps, but may have been third person. I'm 95 percent sure you were either a robot or piloted a mech of some kind. It wasn't mech warrior or anything like that. It was fairly fast paced I think and not slow and lumbering like a mech sim. That's really all I can remember other than really enjoying it. Please someone help me get this dumb thing out of my head! haha

Is it an Xbox game? Murakumo?

Probably a long shot, but there was a 3D platformer I remember playing on windows 95 or 98. I think it was first person, and was full of bright colors. Maybe it was in the sky?

I also remember somehow associating it with some futuristic racing game where you raced as some sort of roll-cage ball thing (it was really difficult).

Unfortunately that's all I can remember.

also a longshot;

it had to be a sega genesis game.. co-op two player... side scrolling action? You were SOMETHING.. I don't remember what.. I feel like it was a cute little animal or a dinosaur or something that looked all chibi.

anyways you ran through stages... I think there were pick-ups throughout the stage.. maybe some that gave you vehicles or powerups or something? I remember a water stage..

that's about it =\

This one will suck but it was a vertical shooter for pc. I remember it was on a cd so
it would be for windows 95 onwards. It had a space theme and there was I think a story where
you could choose missions and stuff. I feel like it was a western game not Japanese.

Have you guys tried looking at a complete list of software per platform on Wikipedia? I know that's not necessarily feasible for the some hardware, but otherwise it can be good to spend a few minutes looking over Game Boy or Mega Drive games as you might see the name which clicks into place. Doing this I've found a couple of games which I was trying to remember; Cyborg Justice and SkyBlazer.

However, there's another game I cannot find. It was a side-scrolling shooter and I played it on my friend's Amiga 500. It was a bit like Nemesis or R-Type, I remember one of the levels was called 'Tropic of Cancer' and whenever you approached a boss there was a warning which would repeat 'Danger Danger Danger'. It might have even been one of the Nemesis/Gradius games I suppose.

Was it more like a platformer or a brawler? Was it strictly 2D sidescrolling or could you maybe walk up and down on the ground?

Maybe Tyrian 2000? Was it 2D or 3D?

That would be Menace.

Format: Arcade
Genre: Racing / Survival(?)
Controls (from what I can remember): Joystick (for movement) and a 'Jump' button.
Age: Early-Mid 90's, I think.

From what I can remember...
There was maybe 8 different levels.
One was in a desert.
One was very dark and had intermittent lightning strikes making it the only time it lit up the screen to see well. And the freeway or whatever you were on had lots of broken road in it, making use of the 'Jump' button to jump the gaps. Also on this level, there was another road to the right of the road you were on, so sometimes you had to jump and move right (or left to move back) if the gap was too large to jump.
You were in a large truck, a semi, perhaps.
Especially in the desert level, you had to collect these gas tanks or you'd run out and get a Game Over.

I'm dying to find this game and have looked EVERYWHERE. I'll try to think of more and update the post.

Thanks in advance.

LED Storm?

OMG, I think that's it. Per Google Image search, there's some super crappy graphics which makes it look like an earlier version?(This: http://www.gamebase64.com/game.php?id=4325&d=45), but I found one that pretty much matches it to a 'T': http://www.allgame.com/game.php?id=10400&tab=screen

I was usually the tanker. And see, that's where I was confused, because I remember driving the tanker, but also remember driving something smaller, too. That's why: there's a vehicle select screen. I'll have to test this at home to be 100% sure, but I'm 99.9% positive this it.

Thank you so much; I've been looking around for a looooong time.

Edit: Nvm about crappier looking version. Apparently, it's the Commodore 64 version. I'm glad I got to experience the better looking Arcade version. :)

There was this one SRPG on the PSX that involved using/creating magical puppets or mannequins that I played many years back. I have never seen mention of it since and am very curious about what the title was called.
