You know, from the general disorganization of the entire process, I'm going to have to guess that this beta wasn't part of the planned development path, and came about mostly due to begging. I can't see any explanation for how poorly put together this is in comparison to similar events for other games (including ones published by EA) aside from the fact that this was a rush job, thrown together at the last second.
If it wasn't, well I really hope the launch isn't this messy.

How is it messy? EA is trying to test everything out. There's more demand than there are beta keys. Just because we can't get beta keys doesn't make it a mess.
Well, it's not like they're going to send the actual game out in waves.

Pretty much this, it's mighty frustrating.
Vince having the time wrong for the initial signups, the many delays for the supposed first wave of emails when they really just seem to be going out randomly, tons of people getting sent codes for platforms they didn't sign up for, codes not working, people magically getting codes early, the whole thing says to me that they weren't prepared to do this.
Good game aside, this beta so far has been smoother and more refined than almost any beta I've participated in...

I gave up and bought a code for $20. Someone is selling them for $20 on ebay if anyone cares.

I'll take the extra if you end up getting one. I signed up too, but haven't received it yet. If I got yours and get mine later today or tomorrow then I'll give that one away here to keep the cycle going.
This is why it should be an open beta. Way to let scalpers take advantage of those excited to play your game.

However, they are from the Mexican store, meaning you need to change your xbox one region to download. After downloading you can go back to your region NP, well at least that is what I do all the time.

Multiple people getting keys for the platform they didn't sign up for is pretty messy. I'm amazed at how fucked all of this is.

Wish it had more to do with your Origin/PSN/XBL spending/activity as opposed to just random email sign up. I've been buying EA games literally for 25 years, yearly rehashes of sports games, broken BF games, broken Sim City games, yet no beta code. At least do it in the order people signed up for the beta. I get freaking Elder Scrolls Online, but not this. Oh well. Never gonna give u up
