Here's my updated roster with Little Mac's confirmation:
I've also added Isaac as an alternate option to Robin just for the hell of it. I wanted to include Isaac in the roster from the beginning but I couldn't find the room for him and he was my least expected newcomer, so I just left him out before; now that I removed Chrom as an alternate choice to Robin, and since Robin and Isaac are both sword-wielding magic users, I figured I could lump them together.

The Wonderful 101's sales shouldn't matter at all. The roster would have been planned out before The Wonderful 101 was even released. And characters aren't just put into Smash Bros. for promotion, you know. Also, the fact that a The Wonderful 101 character wasn't revealed around the release of The Wonderful 101 doesn't mean it's not going to happen. You could say that the release of Pokémon X and Pokémon Y was the optimal time to reveal a new or returning Pokémon character (Pokémon Trainer, Lucario, Mewtwo, or Jigglypuff would have all been pretty relevant), yet we got nothing.

Waluigi isn't worth considering, he's only been in Mario spin offs and has even been cut occasionally from them like his exclusion from MK7. Besides sports and other spin off things will be covered by Mii and somewhat the Animal Crossing villager. If Mario is going to get a second rep it'll be Bowser Junior. Waluigi isn't even a part of Warioware, he's lower then Daisy.
Rosalina by comparison has appeared in every console 3d mario since her introduction, including being playable in 3D World. Heck even Daisy appeared in Mario Land 1. Waluigi was the villain in Mario DDR....

I like you! Those would be my choices as well. I'd probably choose Tingle over Impa for the Zelda newcomer spot, too, but I'm less sure about that one than I am for the others. However, I included the options for those characters because I could see it going either way for some of them.

Anyway about the OHKO move... it seems that is creating so much debate on a lot of forums which I really LIKE huehue why? Simple it creates a buzz about this new character.
From my humble opinion it will not be something easy to hit since it looks like you have to charge it and I guess is easily interrumped.
You know... it would be easier if they would also give us an eShop demo!
About the Bayonetta debate while I think she fits in the game... I guess they will tone down the sexuality of her character? If she ever mades it into the game...

I really don't want anymore avatar characters, but Mii is a strong possibility. At least I will be able to KO Jesus and Darth Vader with Little Mac.
Yeah, Mii's really grown into a face all its own since Brawl's release and has only become more prominent on 3DS and Wii U. I'd be surprised if we didn't see Miis in some capacity.
I don't think they'll be playable, but it wouldn't be much of a stretch if they were.

Well he's not treated like such in Smash Bros..
It'd be silly to ignore the fact that Waluigi got quite a lot of attention in Brawl. More than any other non-playable Mario character, in fact. He is NOT a D-List character in that series. Smash Bros. is a spin-off as well. It would be far from outlandish for him to be playable. He doesn't represent the Super Mario series? Well neither did Dr. Mario. He's insignificant? We got Pichu (albeit a rushed addition, but Pichu nonetheless).
Waluigi being insignificant is not a valid reason to why he can't be playable, and neither is the fact that he doesn't appear in any "important" games. Though I think the term "canon" would be better to use, as Mario Kart is a very important franchise. He's popular (much more in Japan, which is even better for his chances) and is far more iconic than Daisy.
Daisy has two games over him. Super Mario Land, a game that wasn't even made by Miyamoto, and Mario Kart 7, a game that not only axed Waluigi, but characters like Bowser Jr. and Diddy Kong too. People seem to forget that. Hell, Daisy wasn't even invited to the Mario Kart Arcade series. She's still missing, whilst Waluigi has been included in all titles. Daisy is treated worse than Waluigi, in reality.
But yeah, there's my rant. He most likely won't make the cut, but it always saddens me to see the same reasons against his chances brought up when they're purely incorrect.

I hate Miis. If they have to be in, make it an assist trophy. It could actually be cool if they had lines derived from the user name. Example: I am playing my wife, and she gets a Mii assist. The assist hits me and says "Aieyla beats Karsticles once again!" That might make it amusing, if my wife's Mii taunted me or something.
Also, what is this leak list and what makes it special? I have seen a lot of them going around. I didn't know the Smash thread placed one above the rest.
Edit: why can't Daisy and Waluigi be D-lost together? Waluigi can be D+ if you feel better.

I'm OK with Miis as a concept, and think that they would be a good addition for the casual audience, but of course the game would quickly become muddled with shitty Mii caricatures of Adolf Hitler and Barack Obama, immediately deteriorating my online experience. And I would hate it. It's best they stay out to avoid the inevitable result.
And I am not denying that Waluigi is a D-List character in general. ...At least not entirely. But to claim that he is in Smash? HA. Poppycock.

I love the fact I can watch all the Smash Trailers on my TV from the Eshop.
I'm at a point where I haven't much idea who to expect any more. There's 5 newcomers announced now, and I'm expecting around 6 more by the time the game is out.
I'm expecting; Palutena, Takamaru and a new Fire Emblem representative. Not sure about anyone else. Mewtwo seems likely but... which one?
Yeah, Melee Marth's forward air is absolutely insane in how much it covers, and the trajectories are many and precise (not even taking into account tipper trajectories). I've not been able to do it either.
They seriously took a lot of the range out in Brawl (so it no longer hits above Marth), but you can still hit opponents behind you via the end of the downwards strike. I'm expecting Smash 4 Marth to keep his Brawl range, so I have a bit of hope that people will be able to pull it off in 4 (as long as it has good hitstun).

Seems like a franchise where they would try to pull a Kid Icarus and revive it. And I think it's well regarded in Japan.

To be honest, out of that entire list I see the Excitebiker as the most likely. (Though Takamaru has way more potential) I wouldn't have said so before E3 2013/Little Mac direct, mind you but with Villager in & Mac upgraded to a fighter, I could see it easily. It seems like with all of the picks so far, Samurai and Crew are after a real challenge so hell, Ridley may be the show stopper for E3, since they need to do better than fucking Pac man and the god damned Mii.
He'd make a great retro character like Ice Climbers, Mr. Game & Watch, Pit, and R.O.B. before him. We're kinda running low on options for good retro characters, too. Takamaru is a popular (at least in Japan) and somewhat relevant (thanks to Samurai Warriors 3, Nintendo Land, and the expected localized release of his Famicom game) character who has a lot of potential for Smash Bros.
Takamaru is one of the few potential newcomers that I absolutely 100% expect. The others are all leaks (Palutena, Mii, Pac-Manpreviously Little Mac, too) and Mewtwo (if he even counts, lol). He's just such an obvious choice at this point.

I will honestly be surprised if either Impa or Tingle get in. I just don't think it'll happen. Zelda already has a ton of reps and no one is itching for either of those characters to get in.
I'd like to see a music based playable character.
A lot of their moves have to be timed to a unique rhythm and most of their moves are based off music. They'd have note effects and all their attacks are a separate note in the C-Major scale.
That or a dance based character like Jimmy Thang or Rhythm Fever Heaven. But being a percussionist and violist, I'd much like to see a music themed character.
A music themed stage like Hanenbow would be nice too, but it has to be designed better.
The rhythm based attacks are kinda like Melee Marth's sword dance where you need to time moves right. I think this would be pretty fun.
That or make Lil Mac that character that needs strict timing to use correctly since boxing is about precision and speed.

I don't think he's a given at all, but it definitely sounds possible. Also, what was the verdict on the Palutena "leak"? Was it ever proven fake?
Nothing has been found to definitely prove the pictures fake as of yet, so they're still fair game as far as rumors go.
Would fit well for a Rhythm Heaven character because that game is all about timing to the beat of music. That or Ouendan, but I think the best shot they have is AT.
They're some of the characters I'm expecting the least in my roster, but I do feel like we might be getting one more Zelda newcomer. In the event that that happens, I can't see it being anyone other than Impa or Tingle. We could very well end up getting no Zelda newcomers, though.
