Battlefield 4: Second Assault DLC tomorrow!!

The dlc has been finished ages ago. It launched with the Xbone. No reason why other platforms didn't get it other than the timed exclusive crap from EA/MS.
 
DLC is out on UK Store for PS 3/4. Got it downloading the now.

Going to play Operation Metro all night long baby

I'll only be happy with a classic map pack when Iron Gator is one of the maps, and done justice. Am actually glad about Metro, though.
 
I don't have the option to DL in US. All I can find id the trailer from searching the store. Both in-game and online PC

From what I could gather, this wasn't on the PSN Store for me 10 minutes ago. I downloaded 1.61 overnight & installed it this morning & connected to PSN & all, & left my console on standby. Will I be able to have the console begin the download from a command from my phone later? Because I really want it by the time I'm home lol
 
Pleasantly surprised it's actually up on the UK store, was expecting to wait until the day after the US as usual.
 
you can already download second assault from the PS4 PSN EU store

go store -> games-> all games and extras -> set filter to ps4 and newest
should be the first result
the DLC is 4754 MB

Metro is glorious compared to the clusterfuck that is Locker when everyone hits the bottleneck around the panopticon.

But yeah, they could have been more adventurous with these. Hell, bring some classics from the Bad Company series or older Battlefield games. How about some maps that actually feel designed for Rush?
 
Both Metro and Locker are tons of fun so long as you're playing with 32 players or less.

Its just a tedious grind with anymore than that. There's rarely ever any way to press through or find a weakly guarded alt route as all routes are generally fortified by a battalion of players. You might kill a bunch of people but you wont be able to kill them all before the people killed respawn and rejoin the fight. Plus getting revived and whatnot.

48 players is the sweetspot for the larger maps for me. 32 players for medium maps. And 24 for smaller maps. I might actually start playing on 32 player servers with full map rotation for a happy medium.

Anyways, this shit is worth getting alone for Gulf of Oman for me. Such an incredible map and I'm looking forward to the sandstorms.

It goes without saying that people prefer to play Bad Battlefield on the worst maps.
 
Aaaaand the PC version crashes with soundloop every time I try to play Metro. Other maps as well, according to official forums.

Caspian disappointing, it's a clusterfuck and i dislike the new color theme, Oman seems nice but the sandstorm is maybe a bit long, nobody is playing the new Metro as rush, wtf? e: Yep and just crashed on Metro with sound looping.
 
Fucking hell, crash after crash after crash... Everytime I joined a server there was a sound loop, freeze. Had to restart my pc to get past it.
I finally managed to finish a round on Caspian Border and game crashes as soon as the map change occurs. Can't believe this infuriating shit is still not working after so many months of patching.

EDIT : ...And the sound loop/freeze is on again, impossible to play Metro, and after that as soon as you join any server it fucks up your game. For all the people shitting on EA, I do think DICE are as bad.

Does anyone play Locker by choice? Metro was inexplicably popular and made a decent Rush map, but I haven't seen anyone talking about how much they like Locker. I usually pick servers on Siege of Shanghai because I know that map comes after Locker in the rotation.

But hey, let's take this game that's famous for huge maps and vehicular combat and play in narrow corridors where everyone bottlenecks into a stalemate.

Seems like crashes can be prevented by playing in borderless window with Vsync on. ***EDIT: Nevermind, still crashes.

Played a round of Metro. Still the same meatgrinder, although new passages make it feel fresh.
