Super Smash Bros. for 3DS and Wii U Thread 5: Yarning for Yoshi

Alright. All these Jojos have gotten me interested. Where do I start?

Here is the thing.

You got two options.

A you can read the long and drawn out manga, that is enjoyable but very long and drawn out.

Or you could watch the JOJO's bezzare adventure 2012 anime, that isn't finished and could get canceled, BUT is super condensed and is still super hype. Just it isn't anywhere near fishes, they are just getting to part 3 of like 8 or something and it could get cancelled forcing you to read the manga anyway.

I will not cut Luigi. Those of you who did... shame on you. Shame on you.

1. Mario
2. Luigi
3. Link
4. Samus
5. Fox
6. Donkey Kong
7. Ness
8. Pikachu
9. Captain Falcon
10. Yoshi
11. Kirby
12. Bowser
13. Zelda/Sheik
14. Olimar
15. Mr. Game and Watch
16. Little Mac
17. Pokemon Trainer
18. Marth
19. Wario
20. Pit

I really like how the wheels bounce inward upon landing.

I dunno, I feel that if there's gonna be a roster of only 20, green Mario shouldn't be in it. One that actually contributes to the game's cast other than just being player 2 would make more sense. Like Bowser, the main villain. (I love you, Loogie)

You guys playing a game where you have to reduce the roster to 20? Eh, too negative.

Try this -- one person gives another person a character, and that person has to come up with a move-set, implementation or idea for how the character could work. And then that person gives a different character to someone else to work on.

Or something. Something constructively creative!

that requires effort
no

One nitpick of mine is how Nintendo is often times inconsistent with the "voices" used for DK and Bowser....they both sound like perfect monstrosities in the Smash series, but anything outside of that and DK sounds like a bumbling moron and Bowser sometimes sounds just...bad. The differences are clear when comparing the DK and Bowser that's in Mario Kart games compared to Smash.

I liked the way DK sounded in Brawl though, he had a roar befitting a king of the jungle and Bowser sounded kinda like Godzilla, speech wise I'd like them to use the voice Bowser had in Bowser's Inside Story, and DK can stick to his Brawl voice.

It hurt my feelings yet again when I seen the trailer for MK8 and DK was all like "WOOHEEE OO HOO HOO HOOOOO!" Ugh.

I agree completely, though I personally love DK's goofy voice. Giving him an actual gorilla-like voice is silly when he's a Mario character at heart. Same with Bowser.

Make Birdo cool.

Excitebiker!

His "walking" animation is a wheelie!

His "run" animation is dashing along, both wheels on the ground.

Various 360-spins and front-wheel/back-wheel pop-ups for his ground attacks.

Various flips and twirls for his aerial attacks.

His character concept would involve the track editor aspect of the original Excitebike!

His neutral special drops a FREAKING RAMP a short distance in front of you. Useful for crushing opponents!

Ramps are random! ...or are they? Switch between different types of ramps with down special, and reshape the arena by littering ramps everywhere!

His forward special is a speed boost! Perfect for launching off the ramps you created! Once you've boosted off a ramp and into the air, you can tilt forward or backwards to line up your landing for an even STRONGER boost -- one that will really KO opponents! But don't drive off the stage!

His up special... is a recovery move where he goes flying off his bike, as though he crashed. But hey, he'll land on the stage and instantly spawn a new bike. No worries!

His Final Smash unleashes a whole pack of bikers on the area!

OK, my turn... Someone make me a move-set involving...

Saria, from Ocarina of Time.
