Yakuza Ishin PS4 1080p Launch Trailer

Looks great, looking forward to never playing it in english,
just like Yakuza 5
, thanks in advance Sega.

My Japanese points are ready! Release this thing already!

They better not require a Japanese credit card to purchase it like Tomb Raider is apparently doing.

They did a great job on the character design, though these guys need to chill out a bit, I've never seen so many permanently furrowed brows in one game before.

Is there an element of thinking in Sega's refusal to bring Yakuza to western audiences that we wouldn't 'understand' the games due to the culture? I mean, they release that everyone watches anime here, don't they? That animes like Rurouni Kenshin and Samurai Champloo were rather popular here?

They chose One Ok Rock for the trailer lol
Any way game looks like it good fun now if sega could only bring it over .
Just sub it and put it on PSN

I like how every Yakuza thread ends up as another opportunity for some locazitation begging.:P Sega must be laughing their asses off by looking at us unworthy gaijins begging for their scraps!

Nah, that not why. It's actually payback for world war 2. They're going to starve us of localisations until we surrender. :P

Do you think this will sell in the west? It's a guaranteed bomb and not worth the effort.

I need some Sakamoto Ryoma and his rebellion on the Tokugawa Shogunate. Please, Sony/Sega/whoever.

Think it's awesome Clock Strikes got into the game. An appropriate song in a way.

I got bad news for you if you want to buy a digital version. Unless the ps4 does things differently, your foreign credit card isn't Japanese enough to buy this game. Please pay a markup to a 3rd party to buy points.

If you are buying a physical copy and are not in Japan, prepare to pay 100% of the suggested price plus a middleman fee plus shipping. Most stores, unless they use point cards, cut 10-20% off the suggested retail price in Japan. Couple of months after release, price usually drops really fast. This is not so for the importer.

It will sell because there won't be many other comparable games on ps4 this summer.

That's a gamble, especially when people have inFamous, Metal Gear, and other titles to buy, not including some would just avoid getting more games if they have a backlog and some might not even see it or be interested in this type of game.

This had best come to the West because it looks like an incredible time. I've loved the Yakuza series, but this setting is WAY more interesting to me.

Importing this game... as I've said countless times in other Yakuza: Ishin threads, this is one series I've never really missed out on. I've played every one... even if I've had to import them, seen both drama's and watched the movie too. Huge freaking fan. Going to import this one as well.

Yeah, I know the Japanese store doesn't accept credit cards that don't have Japanese addresses. I have plenty of Yen in my wallet from point cards, though.

My comment about Tomb Raider on the Japanese PS4 PSN was that it has a special note that says it requires a credit card to be purchased and existing wallet balances cannot be used to purchase it.

The music makes me think they're all going to lift bottles up from out of frame and start drinking Coke at any second and then wink at the camera.

Image quality looks very clean if that's actually indicative of the IQ in the actual game even if the assets themselves aren't terribly impressive. Just the IQ itself sells it I think.
