I don't know what it is about the hitstun in this game, but Slayer seems to be getting way more out of it than most of the other characters. The man is filthy.

The increased hitstun is only on hit. There's some on block, but not as much. It's why he's so ridiculous in neutral.

SF4 heavily rewards characters like Akuma/Sakura/E.Ryu/Oni who have heavy burst damage with meter. We'll see if this changes in Ultra. So glad to see the switch paying off like this for him.

He's A-tier and is a counterpick to Akuma. He's just not as BSy as the top 5/10 characters, which holds him back.

It was just weird that he kept framing it as "oh it was good back when it was FF4, FF5, FF6, etc" which is completely missing the point as people love the game BECAUSE it harkens back to those type of games which is something we largely haven't gotten in like 20 years. I don't really care that he didn't like it, but his reasoning was wack. Saying he loves oldschool FF, CT etc but hated this game just makes no sense to me.

He's still good, just not lolgood anymore. Definitely a solid character. Divekicks, command grab, genei-jin, yolo ex rush punch, etc. People still seem to get hit by random ex rush punches.
