At the very least, this thread shows that trying to rate a person on a scale from 1-10 in general attractiveness isn't a useful metric. I feel like people either overrate or underrate themselves, and there are a lot of factors that came into play. I mean, we have people rating themselves as a 7 that are (sometimes starkly) less attractive than those rating themselves as a 6. It's not reliable, and it's hard to find one number that seems accurate. There are different kinds of attractive archetypes, too.

For example:
