Did anyone else go through a "too cool for pokemon" phase during gen III? Or was pre-teen me just a dick?

Noo gen III was awesome. I had Sapphire and my friend had Ruby, so it worked out. Then in high school when gen IV came out on DS I battled a few times with this cute girl. So it was never dead at my schools lol.

So Americans are going to be waking up for the next couple hours?
It'll be understandable for there to be saltiness. I was so relieved when i woke up and it hadn't finished.
My fellow Americans need to learn to have wacky sleeping hours that are planned around TPP. I'm West Coast and still up.

Heh heh east coast and still up here. Probably just gonna down an energy drink or two today so I can stay up enough to end up waking up a little before 7 tomorrow morning.

I'm pretty young (only 19). I was in elementary school for all of gen 1-3 and they were pretty popular. I was in middle school when Diamond and Pearl released and it wasn't as popular, but no one really made fun of anyone who liked it or anything. When HG/SS came out it got popular at high school again and that carried on to B/W but it wasn't as big as it was during elementary school. At college I have no clue what it's like since I hardly leave my room and none of my roommates play, though I get an occasional Pokemon streetpass.

What is this new adventure? It'll start at 7am tomorrow where I am. Going to sleep early tonight.

Noooo I missed the end. And it happened like 40 minutes after I went to sleep T_T

Anyway, that was one helluva ride while it lasted. And I'm glad we were able to see it through to the end.

Praise the Helix.

AND BRING ON GEN 2!

If he hacks the ROM to make Red have the same Pokemon that we had, we're screwed, aren't we?

Let's pretend he takes out keeper and switch the lapras for it
even though Red did have a lapras
.

We have to take into account that our team would be wrecked by the more evenly distributed (jn comparison) gen II movepoll.

I missed it live, but I just watched the final battle.

A bit anticlimactic. I would have preferred one of our crap pokemon to pull off something amazing.

Oh well, at least we finally did it.

I have been a Pokemon fan from day 1, but only with the games. I remember being in fifth grade or thereabouts, listening to kids talk about the anime and being almost angry they thought it was good.

I skipped gen III not out of a false sense of maturity but because I was busy when they released, and I'd heard from others the maps were mostly water.

I played Emerald later on. It's probably my least favorite Pokemon game, but it has some cool post game content. I've also skipped FR/LG, SS/HG, and X/Y.

This was my biggest fear. Steamrolling our way with battery is no fun mode.

Hell, I would have allowed democracy if they could have pulled off a victory with another pokemon besides bird jesus and battery.

Is there a way to trade Red's team over to gen II?

If we play through the entirety of G/S it'll takes ages... Two regions, 16 gym leaders, more event encounters.
