It's pretty good, though it does skip over like 90% of the game.
Kinda brisk, and the Pokemon Tower episode was boring to me, but otherwise good.
The Mewtwo fight was great.
It's only one hour and after all, this game takes 390 hours to complete.
Anyway, I thought it was great (though indeed brief). Shame that basically all the fights we saw were Charizard's though.

Chiming in about Pokemon Origins. The Mewtwo fight was pretty fucking awesome.
Well yeah, I know it's by necessity, but I just wanted to be clear about it.
In a little over 5 hours.
Eh, it was too brief. Had they made it 24 episodes I feel like it could have been better fleshed out - 8 gym episodes, 2-4 elite four episodes and then a bunch of episodes for everything in between.
As it stands, it was mostly just montages.
But I really liked reds character design.

No duh, the entire point of crystal was to be a better G/S. None of the 3rd versions are considered worse than their respective first two versions.

At the risk of sounding like a blasphemer, I really think we should try to refrain from mentioning Lord Helix, Bird Jesus, False Prophet, Dome worshipers etc when we start gen 2.
A fresh slate in a new region is the perfect chance for us to create a new lore, with new objects of worship (eggs anyone?), new prophets, new villians, and new memes. Let our fond memories of Kanto remain as just that: fond memories.

Yea that sounds best. Version has not been confirmed yet, but if you're going to be around at the start we can just have it as "Twitch Plays Pokemon 2: etc etc" and you could edit it once we know the version.
Although we need hekk to actually make the thread first.

We all know itll be Chikorita. Any time we had to pick pokemon we picked the worst one. Flareon with eve and charmander as starter (charmander is a good pokemon but in red squirtle and bulbasaur are way more useful for gyms and E4).

Either Cyndaquil or Totodile is fine, they're both good. It's gonna be a rough start if we end up with Chikorita though.
What I'm most afraid of is if we're unable to catch some decent pokemon in the beginning. Red's Pidgey and Rattata were probably relatively easy to catch because the viewer count was in the 3-4 digits back then, but now it's different. Furthermore, many of the early pokemon in G/S/C suck assssss (Sentret, Hoothoot, Ledyba, Spinarak).
If we manage to catch a Wooper or Mareep though, we'll be golden.

Was watching someone do a Pokemon Red speed run and it was hilarious to hear him get more and more pissed off every time he ran into a Pokemon in the Moon Cave.
