WOW. Dat tatical retreat...
Well sand attack was probably our most useful move last gen. Beat Giovanni countless times and possibly is the only reason we beat Blue (Zappy might have not survived a Blizzard at the end which missed, might not have done if not for Bird Jesus's sacrifice).
Both Surf and Whirlpool, yes.

Yeah. Blizzard has 90% accuracy in Gen 1. Would have wrecked Zapdos if it had hit. Pidgeot carried us right to the end.

Chikorita wrecked the first gym in my play throughs. Chikorita is best grass starter. First Gym isn't that tough.
If Abby could beat Brock, GrassGod would have beat the first gym easily.
