Twitch Plays Pokemon Thread 3: Return of Red... Aussies win again!

I like the new system, it renders start9 useless for everyone who complained about that and we actually have to endure some trial and error before we are granted democracy and it's easy to shut down again.

So every hour we have to stop what we're doing and waste 5 minutes going back in Anarchy. Nope, this won't backfire extremely quickly.

Yeah this is a good system. People can't just vote for democracy whenever something is hard or risky, and if we don't need democracy we can vote it away for another hour instantly.

What if it takes 59 minutes to struggle anarchy back and at 60 it's democracy again? What if there is a serious need for democracy and anarchy trolls manage to dismantle it every hour?

Pretty meh... Unless we are very stuck, everyone will still vote for anarchy every hour. On the bright side, no democracy/anarchy clutter.
*You edited, but it's exactly why. Gets rid of all of the filler spam.

The system is the right idea but will get abused (hourly anarchy bot spam?) and needs to be changed down the road.

But it's a lot better than the constant democracy/anarchy spam that took over more than 50% of the inputs.

Only trouble for new system is the democracy timer doesn't reset when anarchy is voted back in, but every hour. So you can be 30 minutes in democracy, vote it out... then there's 30 minutes until next forced democracy.

This is what's gonna happen every time we're in democracy, so... 2 month playthrough confirmed?

This system seems good. if democracy is desired it will stick around. only bad thing is we had some clutch democracy votes during epic pc fiascos.

Really like the new system, makes it very easy to get back to anarchy when we simply don't want democracy, and the one-hour increments will prevent people from using democracy to do trivial actions.

Rage is really good in Gen 2, at least in the beginning. I think it's pretty much the only move used in the early parts of a Crystal speedrun.

I like this system far better than the old one so far.

Holy shit I'm here. Good job guys, and I looked at the democracy mode.

I like it.
Oh, and lol even after one on and off day of posting, I'm still 2nd on wall of shame.

Btw, I might be thinking of sabatoging this for a phanphy, even though there's an ~1% chance for it

It took about a minute.

The timer for next democracy was at 56 something. If you want to be picky, it took over 3 minutes. It's just stupid that we have to do this every hour for a game that will take hundreds of hours to beat. It's going to be such a nuisance in the worst of places, just wait until it happens during a gym battle or something.

Old system was better because we could decide when we needed democracy, and you'd need an overwhelming majority to agree. Now there's no way to prevent it but you still need a majority to get rid of it every time.

With any large amount of viewers democracy will no doubt get shut down instantly, especially since stream delay and people voting one command at a time make it take forever to do a different command, so people will just type anarchy

In before bots are set to spam anarchy every hour, since its clock-based..

It was actually about 4 minutes. Feelings don't tell time as well as clocks do.

It took 4 minutes when we didn't have any idea how the system worked.

If all the people voting start9 had voted anarchy instead it would have taken 2 votes (the first wouldn't have happened due to lag).
