Twitch Plays Pokemon Thread 3: Return of Red... Aussies win again!

I can't wait for us to just blow through Whitney in one or two tries with an overleveled Totodile. Nothing like shattering people's childhoods.

That's probably how I played gold back in the day and these early games, over leveled starter steam rolling lol

I think they should have waited a bit longer before starting this run.

Personally, I would've waited a week after ending Red. But I understand starting it today to keep the awareness high. I mean after watching it off and on for over 2 weeks, it gets a bit tiring and a quick break to get hyped for gen 2 could've done something
Probably negative though, people forgetting it on the first day or 2

This was the cutest thing I spotted happening on reddit. Despite not liking a lot of the arguing going on currently I think it fits well. Plus when we do finally confront the old god you know it's just gonna be a dance battle between a Totodile ( never evolving) and an Omastar and we know who wins that.

I bet Totodile's going to evolve when we least expect it.

And then Croconaw's never gonna evolve.

"HOOTHOOT identified OXXOZZ!"

This move never fails to make me laugh. I'm like "yeah well, good for him". Does it ever become a useful move at some point?

It's supposed to let Normal and Fighting moves hit Ghost types.

Most of the time NPCs just use it for lolz while real people just use coverage moves like Shadow Ball or Earthquake.

In later games it allows fighting/normal types to hit ghosts It's main purpose is to negate changes to accuracy, evasion etc

Well it allows moves that normally couldn't hit (like Normal against Ghost) actually hit so I guess it can be useful for very rare occasions.

Oh apparently it can also remove evasion, so that's decent.

You hit ghosts with normal moves. Yeah still sucks.

Ohhhh I see, I thought it just gave you access to info like the number of HP and PP of the pokemon enemy, his type and all of his stats.

Well I guess it's not nearly as useless as I thought it was but yeah, since Totodile is a water type... still a dumb decision on the trainer's part.

It's not trolling, GEN2 is so stupid easy they want some challenge by no evolving ever. Duh...
seriously, he will never evolve

Evolution denied. How did we manage to evolve everyone in the original game? So many b spammers.

Lag and lack of experience bar caught us off guard. With the experience bar, no Pokemon will ever be allowed to evolve again. Yup, welcome to Gen 2 folks.
