What are the prices like on MF Mai? AmiAmi had an A/C available only a couple months back for 8k, so the prices don't seem too nuts.
They seem to fluctuate between 8k ~11k from what I've seen. Not too crazy for such an old, yet awesome and huge figure.

Mandarake is, more-or-less, the same as AmiAmi and other Japanese retailers. She's not in a huge box, so she should be easily SAL-able.
As for comparing her with Max Factory, they're completely different. Max Factory's version is based more upon artwork than her actual character, while Alphamax's version is closer to what you'd get in-game. I love them both, but currently only own the release from Alphamax. Red or Black version, I strongly recommend her.

I couldn't find the Red version so I went on ahead and grabbed it from Amazon. She'll definitely have to be my last impulse purchase this month though with Tharja coming plus the great Video Game Onslaught of March coming.

Yeah, this month is definitely full of video games, in addition to figures. I both look forward to and fear it.

I liked this one the best and its like 280 pages hardcover.

I don't mind one piece swimsuits, but why did they choose this outfit for her? I'd rather have an armored one so it matches the other Elin figure. They should've made this version a LE alt outfit or something.

Just get those shelf and brackets. They're fine as long as you screw them in securely into the walls and don't put heavy figures on them.

I use these. Though you have to buy the shelf and bracket separately if you want the black/brown color. The bigger 46" size is the way to go as they're 11" deep, and give you room for 2 rows of figures. The 30" wide 7" deep ones only let you put 1 row. Weight shouldn't be a problem, just use plastic anchors. PVC figures aren't that heavy. Polystone statues on the other hand.

No, they're just ugly and small and not worth the money. I've seen tons of better looking prize figures at a fraction of the cost.
