If you and others keep alienating a part of Sakurai's team, you can kiss your smash bros goodbye because they will boycott the fans.
Sorry, but I can't help but laugh at this.
Are we now going to have to start to copypaste the credit roll when we talk about a game to give every person that was somehow involved in the development enough credit? Perhaps you could contact Nintendo and ask who is responsible for the translations of the Daily Pic quotes on Miiverse so we can properly thank them too with every Daily Pic that is posted.
Sakurai is the creative director/producer of the Smash series. I don't think anybody
seriously thinks that Sakurai is literally the only person developing the game, or does literally everything. But since he is so heavily involved in everything regardless, especially the art and gameplay direction, people say "Sakurai" more as an umbrella rather than personally addressing him, much like people use developer studios or publisher names as umbrella for those.
You seriously believe that producers/coders/composers/artists/whatever are going to stop working on the projects they are being paid to work on (which "kissing Smash Bros. goodbye/boycotting fans" would entail) because somewhere on the internet, somebody uttered parts of the development process they were involved in without giving each member of their team a pat on the back?
Hell, how would you go about that anyway? We don't even know who's involved in the development of Smash 4
beyond Sakurai. Should we now start addressing the devs as "the Smash 4 development team which consists of Sakurai, people from Nintendo, people from Namco-Bandai, as well as licenses from Creatures, GameFreak, Capcom, SEGA and Intelligent Systems, perhaps some other unknown entities or freelance contractors"?
