PlayStation Network Thread (Vita/PS3/PS4) | March 2014

At this point I'm almost certain Atlus are doing constant sales instead of price drops just to get press attention.

Well, if you have a product at 25€ and you put it at 10€ people will probably rush to buy the game while it's on sale xD. Not everybody is as informed as us.

Hope that survey means we'll be getting more VNs

I put that I want them on handhelds. They are not resource extensive, and since it's almost like "reading a book" being able to do it while you're lying in bed / couch / bathroom is really good. I tried to play Clannad after watching the show and I wasn't able to complete everything because it was on PC.

And I don't care if sex scenes are removed xD

Guys. WTF with Dragon's Dogma? The wife of the Duke asked me to go to her room lol. I obviously went since I was curious and I wanted to see what was going to happen. The scene
where the Duke tries to kill her
was even more WTF. But the most funny thing is that despite being pointed as an stalker I can still go to the castle whenever I want and he doesn't give a crap xD

Lame, amazon.uk can't deliver Deception IV to my address in the US even though I ordered and received DBZ: Battle of Z from them in January with no problems. US isn't on the list of countries for video games anymore... wtf

There is an explanation about the Duke at the end given by the final boss, that explains his backstory and you could assume it would apply here too. But that scene isn't really explained very well

based umd passport program, Type-0 for basically 5 bux

kfDeXgq.jpg

they should really really bring this program to the west

how exactly does that work? ><
but yea they should... PSP owners with a Vita will instantly have a collection of games to play.

You basically dl the UMD passport app on your PSP. Launch the app and run the UMD that you want to get a discount on. If it's accepted, you get the Vita DL for 5 dollars.

So far I've only done it with Type-0.

Was gonna try it out with more games (tales of heroes etc) but my PSP broke last night.

Well yeah I want it on my Vita too. PS3 is the last thing I want to play VNs on. I don't mind to much on PC but I would much rather play it on my Vita. Don't know how I feel about playing VNs on PSP. I want dat higher res art

Hmm, debating whether to grab NFS or not. Even if I did pick it up I'm not sure whether to get the PS3 or vita version.

Is one better than the other? I've heard the vita has some downgrades but I think I recall people complaining about some updates to the console version that pushed some serious IAP style bullshit.

I finally got a Toukiden! And I got it for 16usd!!! The store I am always buying games from liquidated all their stock so I got this pretty cheap. The bad news is my preorder of FFX & X-2 is now cancelled since they are closing shop.

we don't care about the 5 dudes that didn't pirate out games.

Does the retail copy still works when you use that program or does it works the same way as those PS3 to 4 upgrades (PS3 copy stops working when you upgrade).

There isn't a way to extract games from a UMD without a PSP, right?

I Have been holding the power button for almost a 5 mins now. It does not work. The PS Button is on, solid blue not blinking but even if I push that button it isn't responding to me.
Have you tried this with the charger attached? I know it doesn't sound as though charge is the problem, but worth a try. 20 seconds or so is usually enough for holding the power button.

I played the Yakuza Ishin companion app and i have to say it's really good!
It feels more like a f2p game more than a full game but there is a lot of things to do: cooking, fishing, forging, farming, and obviously fighting.
There are 4 styles of fight: no weapon, katana, gun, katana + gun, each one with its own circle grid of abilities, there are cards too but i don't know exactly what they do.
Dungeon at the moment seems to have the same look, but maybe later it's different, there are switches and bosses.

You realise that passport program is pointless ?

In Japan they are paying 5-10 $ equivalent for migration - in US/EU you can usually buy PSP games for 10$/10E when they are on sale. Sometimes even lower.

Yes the charger was attached before. Now that its gone, it finally turned off. Thanks for the help.

Wait, those screens are from the VITA app? How is that possible?

I want to grab Persona 2: Innocent Sin since it's on sale, but it also seems like it's never NOT on sale.

Has it ever been more than 50% off?

Wasn't it just on sale for like... $3.50 or something last week? I thought about picking it up but missed the sale only to realize it's still on sale just about a dollar more.

Nah, that was Eternal Punishment, the PS1 Classic. I did get that one. This is Innocent Sin, the PSP one, currently 50% off at $10. Like it always is.

Yes, don't underestimate the power of Vita! XD
It's not open world though, you just choose the location where you want to go, locations are just small/big indoor/outdoor rooms and dungeons are made of rooms and corridors, but it looks really good, i hope developers don't waste their good work and make a full game.

Well as nothing special is happening on the EU store concerning the Vita this month, I splashed out my Mid-March budget on:

Trails in the Sky
Grownlanser

And don't regret a single penny. I missed a lot of the PSP era!!

Oh and because I rinsed my funds expect a surprise sale for the EU store. Need to re-up before the 21st March.

You realise there is people that bought those games for full price? PSP games are usually more than 5€/10€ on PSN. There are sales, sure, but it's not permanent. And I like retail games, so I'd like to have them on a shelf and "passport" them if the price of both transactions were the same (or slightly more) than a PSN copy.

Just to let you know that my fist is as lethal as your random pointy things and those pewpewpew stuff.

Also, rejoice, FPSGAF!!!

Neptune Re;birth 1 will be updated with better framerates!

Massive EU sale list here, that I don't have time to transcribe (or look at properly). I'll just assume the Vita isn't represented, seems safer that way.

Might pick up Uncharted 2 as it was a great game, but am disappointed only GOW 1 is on sale as it was given away free some time back and I only need GOW 2!

Yup. I think I saw like, three Vita game in the entire list (Touch My Katamari, Modnation Racers and Jacob Jones).

Gonna grab Rain for PS3, it's just under half price~

But it won't be same price.
PSP games in Japan are expensive so passport makes sense there.

In west psp games are dirt cheap already. How low are they supposed to give passport games ?
1 euro ?

5-10€ (more near to 5 than 10 xD). That way I could build a physichal PSP library while I have those games on digital too. I think I've already said it.

1) take this survey about VN's http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=779282

2) Choose Vita/PS3/PS4 and cross save stuff

3) Get a good end

Done and done.

I've been playing Dangan Ronpa for the past few days and love it, but I couldn't see myself being comfortable playing it on my PC or television. Plus the standby feature on Vita helps a lot, the game gets a little intense at points and it's nice to be able to put it down for an hour.

I guess a tablet could work, but fuck tablets.

They already are 10 EUR normally or on sale.

I've bought two dozens of PSP titles i had on umd never paying more than 10 EUR for each - and that was in 2012.
