For one I dont ever wanna shit on someone's work. So I appreciate you not getting offended....I just realized what I posted earlier could come off bad. And since I have no idea where to begin making gifs...I bow down to those of you who do...
We all know every game wont be universally loved by all. I just wish they all would be given fair treatment, judgement.
Haha, yeah, I don't get offended easily. Even I thought "man this GIF could be better if it wasn't for the size limits/length" when I exported it. But it gets the job done to show that the bridge section is definitely not representative of the overall quality of the game/car sections. That was pretty much the only purpose.

I was only vaguely interested before and this hasn't changed anything. Sucks if it's true, to a small degree, but if the game was fun before...it's probably still fun so I'm good.
Well, I don't understand why I see Ubidev claims graphics improvment when all the holy shit internet is actually making ton of thread page about the massive downgrade.
There must be an explanation. Far Cry 3 has been downgraded but the game was pretty beatiful though. Here it's just ulgy has a bad PS3 game.

Ubisoft need to clear this up otherwise l cancel my PC pre-order.
Show some PC footage at least. Anyway, l will wait for the reviews before l cancel. Don't want to waste £29.99 playing something that looks last gen.
I think jett (or a mod) should edit the OP and add in the second gif to give a more fair shot to the game. Right now, it's pretty much like someone posting an image of the GT5 car and saying "downgradeton confirmed"
On another note, if it were up to me. I'd play the entire game at the night setting, as daytime lighting does look like it got a big downgrade (which I still hope is just a matter of it being a really bright day in the game at that point and not an actual downgrade).

Watching the video it's certainly not as good as they wanted us to believe originally based on that, that big generational leap seems to have been lost and some of the scenes look really bad, overall I think it's probably passable enough for them. It's hard to make too much of a concrete judgement on it without seeing more though.

Although, in cross-gen's defense, I thought PS4 AC4 looked and played great.

Possibly, but, let's say this. Why is it easy to believe the poor looking screens are from current gen consoles, not last gen, AND anything good looking isn't real. Seems that people are quick to assume things.
And this is why you should read more posts than the OP (who is incorrect BTW). Irrational rage over some poor GIF is irrational.

every shot is full of such effects in the reveal. I don't see any such effects in this footage.
Because the exact same screens appear in multiple sites and were almost certainly issued as part of a PR pack for sites to put out.

Okay, I'll be fair to the game. I feel kinda responsible for starting this as I was the first to post a screenshot of the car. This is how the footage looks a few seconds earlier.
This section is pretty much on par with what they showed off last year (the car section). Just when they reach that bridge section and the spotlight where things take a turn for the worst.
Note: btw, this doesn't mean that I'm saying the game looks on par with the reveal.
Yeah, Jett went a bit FUD with the OP (makes sense with his old "Mr Negativity" tag) instead of just posting the video where the GIF was from. Remember that most of the game's footage has been shown at night time. Technically, the downgrade is there, but not in terms of the game systems or interactions like there has been for other E3 vertical slice->game releases. I'll always be excited about mantling over cars

To be fair I think most of us (myself included) were more concerned with the Playstation Denmark tweet confirming that the video was the PS4 version, had there been "it's a mix of PS3 & PS4" I sincerely doubt any fucks would be given.
I'm glad some positive comments came up as well in this thread because when I first entered it and read the first page I just left thinking there must be something I don't see on that comparison gif. Except the lighting which does seem a little less advanced in the (I assume) "newer" part. Game still looks great, I'll wait until the Wii U version comes out though. Which unfortunately will be later than the other versions... it better be great, Ubi, you hear?

After watching the trailer and gameplay, I'm kinda disappointed that they didn't reach the render, but happy that it doesn't constantly look like in the GIF from the OP.
I think I'm still gonna enjoy it, considering the fan I am of Person of Interest.

Ok enough is enough. The game was downgraded, but compressed JPEG screenshots taken form compressed flash videos wont help the discussion. This is really a laughable behavior. If you really want to judge graphical quality, plz download the current videos.

What the fuck. I kept saying to myself that this HAD to be PS3 footage, 'cause it looks just like GTA5. But there's one shot that clearly shows the DS4 L1/R1 keys on-screen, so yeah, it's PS4.
This is what happens when devs don't take next-gen seriously. They tell us what we want to hear to get us all excited, and then all we get is an upscaled last-gen game. At least with AC4, I knew that's what I was getting, and I was okay with it. But this was touted as being one of those many "truly next-gen experiences" that we were promised over the last couple of years, and it sure as hell ain't that.
This could almost replace Madden for the most gratuitous use of bullshot.
Unless the news comes back saying that what we saw here really was the PS3 version and the DS4 icons were a mistake due to cross-gen development, or the reviews come out saying it's one of the most amazing gaming experiences of the last decade, I think this one just got relegated to the "I might buy it when it's $10" or "I'll wait for free on PS+" list.
So I guess Infamous really is the only next-gen game I'll be playing any time soon. That's what happens when you DON'T have to worry about releasing a PS3 version.

This morning, I arrived at work, I opened a browser and started the day. One of the first things I saw was that there was a new Watch Dogs video. So I went and watched it. Almost immediately I thought "OK, so this is obviously the PS3/360 version. Odd that they'd use that for marketing, but whatever. I'm getting the PS4 version so no worries." Then I came here and went into the original thread about the "leaked trailer" and read post after post that, supposedly, it had been officially confirmed that it was actually the PS4 version. And yeah, I admit it. That's when I scream "BULL... FUCKING... SHIIIIIIIIIIIIT!!!!", turned into the Hulk, and put my fist through my monitor.

Seems like there's a fair bit of buildings you can actually go inside in Watch Dogs. I'm not disappointed with that. I hope more open world games allow you to explore the insides of buildings more, personally.

It's all in the lighting. It almost looks like dynamic lighting has been completely removed... huge difference!
Game doesn't look as nice on PS4 as it does at Reveal, It likely looks a lot closer on PC but probably still not to Reveal standards. Also a lot of Hyperbole in here from Bad JPEGs and GIFs, People should try and watch some of the Videos posted in as HQ as possible. I'm sure it'll look better than AC4 which is a pretty nice looking game, or at least it should look better...
