I'm not really liking the new system. It's sort of a dumb compromise between the two that the streamer implemented in hopes of it increasing Stream popularity or something. It's more accurate than anarchy but not to the point where it'll help them get through something that anarchy would give them a lot of trouble with. It's also somewhat slower than anarchy. I see no advantage to having it over pure anarchy in terms of making the stream fun to watch. And I didn't really mind the old system with Democracy voting as long as the stream voted on Democracy at the right times (because really, I don't want to see them get stuck in rocket base for days).

There are some RPG Maker Pokemon games that have auto-nuzlocke features built in, he could always try one of those to keep it fresh. I don't know of any romhacks that have it but there may be one out there. Would be cool!
This pretty much, it was fun watching them struggle with Gen 1 mechanic and the meme that was born out of it but I stop watching gen 2 as it didn't feel fresh and the meme felt forced.

Tbh, as a serious strategy against Zapdos we could just catch first best Graveler and level it a bit. In this mod, it will evolve into Golem at level 45 and that, even if under-leveled should have enough defense to withstand Drillpeck/Take Down. If it has Rock Throw or some such then it will be super effective. Downside of this strategy is that it has a lot of ground moves so we might end up with one that can do Zapdos no harm.
It remains a mystery until we get there, though it has been hinted so... Also, it is really easy to do. Thanks to the vast hacking community that Pokemon has there are already several tools that will allow you to do it in a matter of seconds, like this one:
But if not... then we get to face Pikachu instead, and Feraligatr should have no problem surfing the daylight out of it.
It'll be more exciting than Crystal if done properly. Crystal had a lot of things against it, starting with grinding Totodile in the beginning or the weird Democracy system to the game's uneven level curve and lack of new Pokemon.
Back in the day I always chose the Dome. The Helix just never really appealed to me.

For some reason I could never remember which was Helix and which was Dome. So I always just picked one.

Gave him Leftovers. He was one of the two Pokemon my dragon dance/cosmic power Smeargle would BP to. The other being my weakness policy Sigilyph.
I was team Dome for life. I like what Helix represents in the world of TPP infinitely more, but Kabutops is a much better Pokemon than Omastar.

Well, there's no way we could have beaten Silver with everyone down like that. We have the Exp. Share on KT don't we? That'll come in handy.
Yeah I always wanted to go Kabutops because of how much cooler he looked than Omastar. I would be bummed when I got all the way through the game to Cinnabar and found out I picked the wrong fossil.

One thing about this new system...there is someone to blame if things go wrong (like whoever presses A to release a Pokemon, or B to stop evolution, etc.). Their username is prominently displayed as the one responsible.
Edit: Also, how now to do things like give Exp Share to a specific Pokemon? Glad Katie got it before the new system.

The same way we did it in Red. By walking in circles and spamming start for hours on end until we get lucky. This new system is a massive improvement over the democracy every hour one if only because it takes democracy out of the equation entirely.
Edit: Stream says we walked down to New Bark then flew back to Mahogany. I love fly.
