PlayStation Network Thread (Vita/PS3/PS4) | March 2014

So Army Corps of Hell comes with a full color manual, I'm impressed. Any other western game with physical manuals?

These are the ones I know of (all EU versions):

- Toukiden: The Age of Demons (full colour)
- Rayman Legends
- Rayman Origins
- Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed
- Asphalt Injection
- Super Monkey Ball: Banana Splitz
- New Little King's Story (full colour)
- Shinobido 2
- Lumines: Electronic Symphony
- Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Z (weird situation where Namco forgot to include an English section in the manual)
- Virtua Tennis 4
- History: Legends of War

Good day chaps!!!

Glad to finally be member and look forward to reading and participating in this forum. Currently own Vita, (awesome) PS3, and PS4. Always looking to add folks as I am in need if some Zen Pinball scores to shoot for (not very good but I do enjoy it).

PSN BigSoftieFF ---before the the normal jokes are made about my ID the "BigSoftie" I'm referring to is a yummy microwaveable pretzel :-)

Would love to get some challenges thrown my way in Rayman Legends PS4 as well.

They really shouldn't have bothered to make a manual for Rayman Legends. It'sawful. 2 pages for legal mumbo jumbo and warnings, one for the game's controls, other explaining the in-game help system, and other two about technical support.

I miss the times when manuals actually had something.

So I'm at the final boss of Chains of Olympus and I've died a few times. The game asks me if I want to go into easy mode and of course I pick no. So then it restarts me at the last checkpoint with less than full health. Thanks game. I wasn't having enough fun getting cheesed by a bullshit boss that hits me before I can even stand up, but now I'm going in at about 90% health instead of full. And I know I had full the first few times because there are chests for refilling health/magic before the fight. Seriously what kind of buggy bullshit is that?

haha yea, that was literally the only hard part of the game. Really amateur design and kinda soured me on it (clearly not enough, got the plat) since it was such a short game. Ghost of Sparta is leagues better, but I can't imagine playing it on handheld. GoS final boss is actually really fucking awesome. Probably a bigger quality leap than GoW1 -> GoW2 imo

also I wish PSN would switch to updating at EST. this wait for Dark Souls is killing me.

Like pretty much the entire game it isn't hard to get timing down to parry attacks or block or even roll. This fight you can parry an attack and she will instantly pick up a fucking rock and it will hit you even if you are behind it pummeling her. Then when you are down she swoops in and it's normally something you can parry and you get hit again for even more damage. Like holy shit at least give me a fucking chance to get up and dodge or block or something.

Also just exiting out of the game and reloading my save got me back to 100% health for the fight.

Got my copy of final fantasy baby.

The manual:

How's that'?
I got my system from them week.
Well I screwed up a lot of stuff in the ordering process. I forgot to specify what state I live in along with accidentally sending two paypal payments for a single 64gb card. Basically after completing the order and attempting to pay, the site sort of glitched on me and I received no payment confirmation and instead followed an email link to complete the payment. I couldn't find their contact info so I kinda panicked and opened a claim with PayPal only to later find their email address and attempt to contact them.

I'm just a little curious because I haven't received a response yet and despite throwing a bunch of cash at them through PayPal I still haven't actually had any funds withdrawn from my account.

That's in English or T. Chinese? Also are you up for a NFS session? I need some help on certain online trophies.

That is the Chinese copy. I was kind of debating this for a while, but in the end I decided to get the Chinese version for the Japanese voices.

As for NFS, I'm afraid I can't help you there. Mine was a physical copy which I sold a long time ago. Great game though. Played it till my wrists hurt lol.

Beat it! So satisfying. Pretty good game!

Think I'm going to play Ghost of Sparta right away, then go back and play Chains of Olympus again right before the God of War collection comes to Vita so I can play the ones available to me in chronological order.

If streaming GoW 3 and Ascension are possible on Vita with Playstation Now I would probably do that too. Have not had that much fun with an action game in a long time. I remember liking the first game but it felt more frustrating I suppose. I only got a little peeved at the not going into the final boss battle with full health thing.

Oh okay. I'm still waiting for the 18th to come since I've preordered the "supposedly" English versions of X and X-2.

As for NFS, I am quite busy destroying billboards with your name in commemoration then. LOL

EDIT:WTF? Killatopak, I'll send you a FB link if you're here. There is a juicy thing I'll tell to you. Some store I think broke the release date of a game.

Now that I'm done with Toukiden (for now), I've caught up with whatever they've thrown at Vita on PS+ this month.

I forgot how dirty SFvT was, even for Capcom standards. Free character pack? A 100k unlock key. Would you like better gems? $0.99. How about more custom combo slots? $0.99. Can I at least edit those combos? $2.99. And there's a $0.99 expansion to enhance the paid editor.

I want to get Terraria on vita, but I keep holding out that it will go on sale. Has it ever dropped down from fifteen bucks for vita?

I think it was in february sale in EU PSN. 15€ is normal price and it was 10€ (-10% with PS+). Tho it was still too much money for me to pick it. At this rate Iam picking Starbound first (when it comes).

if you're going to be smashing f5 on it, don't forget to ask about
soul sacrifice delta

I'm sure the blog post will be up before I even wake up. What should I get? Assuming it lasts all day on Tuesday I'll have $20 left to spend since I'm getting FFX/X-2

GAF, For some reason I want to play Gal*Gun badly. As in I would import the game and accept the customs fee. Can you convince me not to buy this game or am I that fucked up?

PS4 in house, remote playing at 11:30 at night in bed...

Terrible idea, may have to delete this game.

Thinking about getting Battlefield 4, anyone else having fun in the multiplayer?

Lone Survivor is this weeks free ps+ game (NA)
How is it for those that have played it?

Good, but short. It's about 3 hours your first playthrough but it also has the Director's cut, which if you like the original story you should definitely play. The only knock I have against it is that the writing is amateurish but it makes up for that in atmosphere.

Play it in the dark, with headphones on.

does it stack? I bought miku a week early.. lol

You can try to ask for a refund and buy it again lol.

I finished Brothers. I didn't expected the ending tbh. Maybe it's me, but quite reviewers say it was an "emotional experience" (reviewers love to use those two words) and I didn't think that's true. This game is, in my opinion, a cute fairy tale due to the art style, the story elements, its pacing and everything in general. I really liked the gameplay, even if puzzles are easy most of the time. Enviroments were cool even if there was some screen tearing there (and I don't usually notice it xD). It was a very good game (like an 8 imo) but not the emotional ride as some guys said.

Maybe I'm a bad person.

No, I think it being as revered as it is could have raised your expectations too much. I got a bit of an emotional response from it, but I played it only hearing that "the game is good" rather than what I would get from the experience. And to be fair it wasn't overwhelming in any way. Still, I did enjoy the game quite a bit and can see why others feel the way they do about it.
