How divisive can a Noah story be though? Only the real nutjob Christians take the Noah story literally.
The main thing I want to know, are the 4 armed angels in it?
Thanks. I was worried a day might pass without being called a nutjob on neogaf. Got that one taken care of early.
I think people are smart enough not to expect a 100% faithful adaptation of a bible story from a Hollywood (mainstream) director. Anyone who has seen Aronofsky's work should have the appropriate expectations. Loved (and confused by) the fountain, personally. And I'd be very interested to see Nephilim come to life on screen. I'm writing a Nephilim type creature into one of my screenplays as well.
So... excite.
Arronofsky is mainstream, that's a new one.

So is this more like the Ten Commandments and Passion of the Christmas in terms of it being a Hollywood movie for people of the faith, or is it like taking a biblical story and then putting a new spin on it?
I will see this first day, second day and all days.@iamclintmansell's score for Noah may be my favorite Mansell score. It's next iteration of The Fountain score.
So it has a heavy dose of fantasy according to the tweets. I might see it if they go deep in with crazy monsters, angels, flaming swords etc.
Very much the latter it seems.
Will watch for the Clint Mansell score.

I would not call Aronofsky mainstream nor Hollywood. That's why this is interesting.

I think it's unrealistic that anyone would survive a month long boat ride with Russell Crowe.
Have you seen all his other movies?I should probably watch The Fountain one of these days.

I think the only fantasy element I've seen in promos is the fire magic wall or whatever that is shown in commercials. If they showed more of that and less Russell Crowe posturing, I'd be more interested in seeing it.So it has a heavy dose of fantasy according to the tweets. If not, watch all his other movies. Then skip The Fountain.
If so, skip The Fountain.
Four armed-angels? Why haven't I heard of this? Seems like a full-on epic fantasy re-telling, provided we end up seeing more weird shit too.

Cautious about even caring about the film, but that is high praise enough.

An ABC News poll released Sunday found that 61 percent of Americans believe the account of creation in the Bibles book of Genesis is literally true rather than a story meant as a lesson.
Sixty percent believe in the story of Noahs ark and a global flood, while 64 percent agree that Moses parted the Red Sea to save fleeing Jews from their Egyptian captors.
I enjoyed The Fountain but to me it felt like a compromised vision. I'm hoping Noah will be a more "complete" film.
