Infamous Second Son has gone gold

I'm glad I could help you through these troubling times.

Now just sit back, and imagine...

Lol wtf

Anybody who has seen the video want to summarize it without spoilers? What stood out, other than the cut scenes and voice acting? Are there any concerns so far?

I believe the OT is going up soon.

I second this. Let's just huddle here until the OT goes live. Nothing has been spoiled here so far. The GIF doesn't ruin anything.

Great voice work, animations looked pretty good, and interesting use of the controller. Got a better vibe watching the vid then I did playing the previous entries although didn't get to see how the open world looked.

Everything looked pretty much perfect graphic-wise. The voice acting is solid. Not phenomenal, but good.

Only complains from me are: the water/sea right in the first cutscene looked off. Like blurry or something. Maybe it was youtube's compression, I can't really tell; and the eyes whenever there is a closeup look mechanical mainly because the rest of the face is extremely detailed and realistic.

Things that stood out:

Presentation/visuals look great, it was nice seeing outside the city.
Lot's of little ambient dialogue with Troy commenting on his surroundings.
The camera rotates on large jumps making the landing seem more impactful. It also zoomed out a bit when Deslin was climbing on some rocks.

Concerns?
I guess there was a lot of touch pad QTE moments in the beginning, but nothing overly concerning.

The main villains model is kinda ugly. Maybe intentionally so.

I order from Cheetah express and asked the seller when he would ship and he stated he would ship tomorrow. I was like 250 person I think. Wonder how he got so many copies.

Who needs pretty villains anyways? Ugly people are real people, too!

Really, though, I was not expecting her to be
so old lol.

I'm not sure I'd call those QTE moments if I'm thinking of the same thing you are but there definitely are some controller gimmicks going on. Mocap and voice acting appear to be pretty damn good but unfortunately SP hasn't mastered eyes like ND did with TLOU, they look rather dead in inFamous. Maybe because ND ended up doing a manual pass over the mocap? Not sure. Regardless it looks really good.

Finally entered this thread to see how it's still getting posts. Now I feel like I missed a lot. That ebay seller is really tempting but I want mah beanie...

Ill just watch the first 2 minutes.....
Hey, I watched the first 13 minutes of South Park and that didn't ruin anything! But...I want to resist too.

Definitely not quick time events if you're thinking about opening a door or moving a car. Other games would do the same such as press x or push the left analogue stick up. SP just decided to make use of the touch pad in these cases.

Thanks guys. Sounds great! I'm not too worried about the touchpad stuff. Everyone who has played it seems to have warmed up to it after a while.

Good point about the eyes. Hope it doesn't detract too much from the close up scenes.

Sorry if this has been asked and answered a bunch lately, as I'm being more cautious with the threads for this game, but when are reviews expected to go up?
