Snake needs to stay in smash for his move set alone.
It's a ton of fun to use once you figure it all out. Plus considering he's the character that got me into Brawl and hell even nintendo platforms to begin with, on a personal level it means a lot to me seeing him with other iconic characters.

The outlines are always semi transparent. It's also one of the easiest additions to add which is why so many fakes are for the 3DS version.

Not really, so many fakes that 7 years ago would have fooled us even for just a min we instantly discredit nowadays like that shulk "leak", but things like the model actually having anti aliasing, the details, everything, not to mention the actual picture is way better quality than most fakes coming out now.

I'm assuming that they'd cut out a lot of that for SSB4. Since either they are being very sneaky about it, or his inclusion this time wouldn't be treated with as much fanfare.

Kojima wouldnt outright confirm or deny if snake was in or not, and for reveal's sake he would try to play dumb more than anything, chances are snake is more likely to return, idk the answer kojima gave but its probably like with sonic where they said "I dont know if sonic will make it in, sakurai hasent asked us, but we would love if he returned!"
I see, depends on your attitude, I think the "please use snake" line basically means he will return.

Let's look at this from Kojima's perspective, assuming Snake is in, he could've answered:
1 - No comment: just about the same of saying yes.
2 - Yes: he woul've ruined the eventual reveal.
3 - No: he would've crushed hopes and possibly damaged the game's hype.
4 - I can't talk about it: once again just about the same of saying yes.
So "I don't know" is the only logical answer he could have given to us if Snake's in. Great news.

I really hope hayter returns if snake makes it in, I cant imagine his new voice in a game like smash bros at all.
I doubt they'd get Jack Bauer so I guess it would be Hayter.

Please don't misunderstand my desire for Snake as loyalist for Metal Gears series. In fact, I haven't play any single game in that franchise yet but I know I need to soon. However my love for Snake is solely for his personality in codec and his interesting and strategic gameplay. I don't want to lose that moveset, and people should know that it probably would offended Konami, Kojima and franchise itself if Sakurai reuse exactly same moveset for other character; Salurai is more likely know that as well. I'm going to support Snake's inclusion until they disconfirm him. Please go easy on people because they happened to enjoying the same character as I do.

There is always the third option, where Kojima Productions does not feel comfortable with allowing Hayter to voice Snake again, so they get a soundalike for the role.

In the very, very, very unlikely event that we get a Wars character, it's probably going to be a small group of generic soldiers. They're the closest thing the series has to a mascot -- they appear as Assist Trophies in Brawl, and they also show up in Captain Rainbow. The Wars series predates Andy and Sami's existence by 13 years, so the series wouldn't be sufficiently represented by either one of them. (Everyone assumes Advance Wars is the first game in the series since the previous three entries didn't leave Japan.)
1) He was the first third-party character to be in Smash Bros and was unique and fun to play as.
2) I don't give a shit what platforms he appeared on.

The logic that the more leaks being proved fake makes another leak seem real is quite the leap.
And I have no idea what difference would have been made over time. The only reason why fakes are being made frequently now is due to the 3DS version pretty much giving them some ability to use low-quality models with aliasing due to the outline stuff and low-res screen.
Indeed, though if Sakurai were to put in a commander as a fighter I feel he would take into consideration the games that were released world wide. Of course he may not even choose Andy and co since we also have Dark Conflict and Battalion Wars. In fact BW you control the soldiers directly so it's probably even more appropriate.

Its the fact that with that palutena leak out, if its indeed a fake then you would think people would be trying to top it and try to make a even more believable fake, but it seems that they have only gotten worse.

They could probaby get Hayter back but I doubt they could reunite the cast of MGS Twin Snakes who were conveniently available for MGS4 and Brawl was in no way promoting a non-Nintendo game

Did he say that? That would make it seem pretty likely that he comes back to me, at the very least as likely as say, Ike.Just saying that Sakurai has permission to use the character gives me hope. I thought, if anything, Konami would be holding Snake back... and that doesn't seem to be the case

It's a silly point really so it's to be expected. It's cool enough, but having him in, with MGS4 music... just odd man. Really out of place. Megaman, or hell even Pacman fits in way better. I won't be angry if he stays in, I'll be confused as hell, but then I won't cry any tears if he gets cut.
I don't think Konami/Kojima was ever the problem regarding Snake. The question is whether Sakurai (and Iwata) thinks he's significant enough for Nintendo to make him return.
Just this thought makes me want Keifersnake in smash. If nothing else I could quote Jack Bauer during matches to punctuate my kills.
The translator says:
"I'm not working on that game so I don't know, but I don't think that's likely. If Mr. Sakurai is watching this, please use Snake!"

We're due for a March character reveal, and since Yoshi's New Island releases tomorrow in America and Europe, everything fits into place. Holding off until summer for the Japanese release seems really late for a character as obvious as Yoshi.
Higher than Snake's...
The only thing better than mega man being revealed would be a full captain N team. We have pit, megaman, and mother brain. We just need simon, king hippo (assist), game boy (playable!), eggplant wizard (assist) and dr wiley (assist). Oh, and captain N of course!
