Super Smash Bros. for 3DS and Wii U Thread 5: Yarning for Yoshi

People need to remember these pictures aren't intended for mass hype.


Those waiting up extra hours for these are setting up for big disappointment.

That stage seem interesting, so I wonder if we are going to have a stage of variable mii games. I would like to assume that Mii's stage would be like WarioWare stage in Brawl so stage would changed into variable of mii games stages like Tomodachi Collection, Find Mii/StreetPass Quest, etc.

Why are people expecting Yoshi (a Japanese character) just because of the US release? It was never about US release unless it's a US character.

Largely because yoshi's new island releases in japan so late & there's no "obvious" veteran for march.

I can venture a mild guess as to which characters would make sense on a starting roster, but for now the march veteran is entirely up in the air.

Yoshi is the most likely character to be revealed in march, consider the EU & NA release. We don't know if Nintendo is going to held a direct this month, so we can only expect yoshi. Now I expect a surprise reveal like Marth. Damn, a new stage is great, pleasant to see, but hyper-page-refreshing-mode for more than three hours exhaust me. :(

Yeah, but they're random so there's no real pattern to it. By that logic this month's veteran can essentially be anyone.


Logically speaking though, someone like Ness would make sense to me. He's a pretty obvious returning Vet that wouldn't be easy to just tie to a release date.
 
I had a dream there was an announcement from Sakurai that said something to the effect of "New characters are always fun, but we regretfully announce 6 fighters from Brawl will not be making it back."

I really want Lucas to go

I doubt they will reveal Ness that early. They didn't care about revealing him for Brawl, don't see why it would change for this one.

With Toon Link, Luigi & Marth revealed already I don't think paying attention to Brawl's secret/starting roster is much of a basis to go by.

The revealed roster so far is a pretty clean divide between getting many different franchises in & fully revealed big/notable mascot chars for the bigger franchises.

Unless we get a very clear reason to think otherwise, I feel like most vets that make it onto the starting roster are the more obvious mascot-y ones.

Ness was revealed from the start in Melee though. Brawl just had a silly "If you were ever an unlockable before, you'll be one again" concept going with its unlockable characters.

I'm just completely apathetic towards him being in personally. Never played his game, will never get the chance to. He's irrelevant as far as I'm concerned. Won't care if he's in, won't cry if he's gone. Sorry if I offended you...

Hope that Sakurai loses his fountain of youth properties and starts aging normally.

These two posts made me think of the possibility that Wario is unlockable and may stay a secret character.

Is it possible that Diddy Kong's reveal got delayed to US release date because Direct happened on Japanese release date?

Here is a wild guess. What if Marth didn't meant to be revealed during November but they had to reveal something because Donkey Kong Country Return 2 was delayed to 2014.

Wario is more likely because of his motorcycle. I know silly reason.
 
I have never heard of a game called Tomodachi Collection before. I thought you guys were talking about Tamagotchi first, lol.

Anyway, with the Find Mii stage and this I think it's pretty clear we'll get Mii as a newcomer soon, I expect a Nintendo Land stage in the trailer.

I'm not sure if it's a new stage since my theory is that it could be Mii's "WarioWare" stage where they would randomly changing into different kind of mii games.
 
Anyone else hoping desperately for a Rhythm Tengoku stage?

I could understand not having a character as the series doesn't really have a singular mascot, but there would be enough to make a really fun inventive level. If we can have a Tomadachi Collection one then we can have RT too!
