Figure GAF |OT| Where has all of my money gone?

I KNEW you would love nendos if/when you started getting them :D.

I am afraid of them. They are adorable and with me loving taking pictures of these figures they are perfect for me. I am not saying I will buy everyone of them (hopefully) but I image I am going to have a large collection before to long.

If it's this one then that is an amazing price, considering I paid three times that (granted, I bought new). Obviously, I'm a bit biased when it comes to this particular character ;).

I was going to PM you about that too lol...glad you have it. That little Yui isn't helping me from not buying it either. That Ui herself looks great.....ahhh! If I add this I am looking at around $250 for this month.

Ahhh lucky sod. Won't be getting mine until the Mystique gets released.
The quote about the print quality is really exciting, and I'm surprised it isn't that much more expensive (I've bought a number of more expensive artbooks that are half the size of what looks to be for this one and that didn't use expensive paper). If it's as great as it sounds, I may end up hunting a second one just to use as prints.

Let me know if you do get another one and I'd be willing to pay for a few pages. Some people on eBay are already trying to sell single pages for ridiculous prices.

My first figure - Figma Black Rock Shooter Non Scale Pre-Painted PVC Figure: Strength TV Animation version. Has finally Shipped from Play Asia!

Been nearly 6 months of waiting! I think that is what I am not to keen on is that fact you need to preorder and then waiting a lifetime for them!

Hope it is here soon...

Holding out for 1/6 - 1/8 versions...hopefully they'll happen

Anyways being as I'm still a newbie, can you pros tell me if I'm just imagining something or does the pink version look way better in terms of quality than the blue one?

I'm no pro, but anyways...

Pink version's eyes are focused a bit to the left while blue version's focuses straight ahead. Given the angle of the shot, pink's focus is better.
Pink version has gray eyes. Blue version has reddish-brown. Unsure which is accurate, though I see more art with her having gray eyes i.e. gray is canon/accurate.
Eyebrows are highly raised for blue version.
Blue version's buttons are a 'flat' gold while pink version's buttons are darkened at parts for extra detail.
Blue's mouth is much wider.

Prepare your wallet, this is just a small step into a big and unforgiving world.

by the way, Mandarake used figures are a good way to go. I usually buy brand new in box figures, but "A" quality used figures are now an exception.

Damn seriously? Scalpers are wasting no time LOL
And sure thing, should be no problem assuming of course we don't fight over any prints haha.

I love alternate face plate in the last picture in the link. Really looking forward to it being colored.
Wonder if Ren is going to be the only other accessory.

Yeah it's adorable! Hope we see a Scrap version too. How many face plates does a nendo usually get?

mandarake got me a cigarette smelling sanada and it had no mention of that =/ well I did save like 3-4k.

Try washing the figure with SUPER-DILUTED dish soap and a microfiber towel. I did this with all of my figures and managed to undo a great deal of dust damage (except my Tony Miku, she's forever borked...(T^T)), maybe it'll get some of the stink out.

Febreeze is great for smoke smells.

No need to put liquid on it! Try my method first. You only need to store it with the dryer sheet for 1-2 days and the smoke smell should be gone.

The buttons and necklace Chihaya wears looks better on the left figure. I'd personally go for the figure on the right because my weakness is happy figures.
What the hell is her canon eye color anyway? Isn't the one on the left based on how she looks in the game and the right on how she looks in the anime?

So I googled Rockin' Jelly Bean just to get a feel for the art, as it's hard to judge just based on their figures. It's actually a pretty interesting art style. I'm intrigued, so I grabbed the artbook from cdJapan.

Alright ladies and gents, looking into getting a new figure but the only options I have are Plamoya and Crunchyroll in terms of availability. Which site would be the better one to use?

What figure is it? And what's the pricing look like?

I would generally go with crunchyroll, based alone on the premise that some of Plamoya's pricing is insane. To the point where they make Nippon-Yasan's scalper fees look reasonable.

yeeeahhhhhh /thumbs up

4k yen well spent. The few figures based on his work do a good job of reflecting his cartoony proportions, I find.

I agree with Freezasaurus, only use Plamoya if it's a last resort or they discounted a figure heavily.

I had been looking for it earlier and couldn't find it on cd japan. Finally found it, and it would have been a bit cheaper than amiami, but only about $4. Oh well.
