And then on to others. That list would be assuming they were all unlocked from the start. I would start as Kirby just to get an idea of the changes to the mechanics first...I am a casual player, but I would think I would get a better idea for how the game has changed if I start as a character I've played a lot before.

Man, it's exciting thinking about playing all these new stages and characters. I hope the game comes out before Winter.

ZSS was too hard to play.

Yeah I'm not a huge fan of her fast playstyle. I never really liked her limited kill moves.

Still better than regular Samus in Brawl though.

Not seeing how designing a "Toon Sheik" is any different outside of scale of redesign.

Zelda characters are not referred to as TP Zelda or OoT Link in the game, they are just updated designs based on the last games. Zelda is Zelda. Link is Link. Sheik happened to have a design that they were able to use from TP.

Toon Zelda is an existing character in the Zelda series but is referred to as Zelda in the games. Toon Zelda has a name that differentiates itself from normal Zelda because it will be viewed as a separate character. Toon Zelda 'transforms' into Tetra not Toon Sheik. I don't see why Sakurai wanting to represent Toon Zelda would create a character of a radical design change as a character to transform to when there is an existing one. Of course we won't know what the true intentions were, but I just don't see Sakurai doing it any other way.

I really don't know what to say beyond that.

We talked about this yesterday. It is neither confirmed or unconfirmed. He will be coy about it. It does confirm Kojima is open to the idea of Snake in SSB4.

So, I'm guessing we may only get one character this month after all, after getting two characters per month for the last three months in a row? I'd imagine if we were getting two characters in March, someone would have been confirmed by now. Since we didn't get Yoshi yesterday, I'm really curious as to who we'll get this month. It's unlikely that we'll get another newcomer until April at the earliest, so which veteran would they choose to reveal this month? Yoshi was the only obvious choice, and that didn't happen.

Had my friend who lives in Japan verify exactly what Kojima said. Not using the translator the first part is - "I'm not working on that, the new one (smash bros), but I don't think he will be in it."

Yeah I used ZSS. I was a Zelda/Sheik main during Melee and she was the closest playstyle I could find that I liked. Although I didn't really have a main during Brawl. I used ZSS and Toon Link the most but I used Falco, Diddy and King DeDeDe occasionally as well.

What you're basically saying is they can make up a whole playable character that doesn't exist. Making up moves is completely fine. Changing the design a bit to match the style or the rest of the roster is fine. Making up a character is way too far-fetched.

My Brawl Donkey Kong was absolutely epic! I hope Olimar, Samus/Zero Suit and Dedede aren't able to just steam roll him anymore at an equally high level. Same goes for Bowser as well. I love big characters but being big is a more of a con than a pro in Smash.

He seemed annoyed when the MGS HD collection was announced whilst he was working on Snake Eater 3D.
