Pokemon emerald in 6 days, 22 hours, 37 minutes, 52 seconds confirmed

What a weird change. He can't even wait a week until the stream is over, why a week from today?

Pokemon Emerald in a week or whatever, so there's a time limit for beating Red.

It also won't be as fun as HTML Plays Pokemon with Ruby.
 
I'm probably not gonna watch emerald, main reason I kinda payed attention to this one was to see the red fight (and also the cool new storyline that evolved around it)

I think I'll be back on board for Emerald. Fresh start, new land, no ties to old lore or characters.

I dunno if I'll stick around for most of Emerald. It would be a bit more refreshing to see than Crystal, but eh. Maybe I'll see if I can find the damn cart and play it myself. :P
 
Think I'll give it a rest after this. I don't really have any emotional ties to gen 3 due to me being a total twat who thought he was above pokemon around the time R/S came out.
 
I might stay for emerald. It depends on what gender character we choose and what the voting system is for the next game. I really don't want to deal with this hourly democracy thing any more.
 
Seeing RED with Twitch's original team is so awesome. I liked Twitch Plays Pokemon already, but after that, I'm really excited for what else will happen down the road.
 
I definitely like gen 3 more than gen 2 but I don't know if its enough to bring me back into daily stream -obsession. Forcing lore + gradually-increasing democracy influence eroded my interest hard and seems to be here to stay.
 
Emerald? Eh, this looks to finally be it for me unless the stream can eventually manage to reach Black/White without Nintendo stepping in and shutting it all down.

Actually, Platinum with it's crazy distortion world would probably be fun to watch, so maybe even that.
 
I also skipped out on all the games since RBY until XY came out. Though my main reason is because my friend who I played RB with didn't continue to GSC, so didn't make any sense for me to get a Pokemon game only to have nobody to battle or trade with. Having modern Pokemon games with real online modes is one of the things that makes XY a viable game for me.

Man, the no democracy challenge means I'm going to be filled with even more anxiety about missing the final battle with Red. Will the next run be it? Or will there be a failure to launch if we don't use Flash before most our pokemon are worn out. But what about the next run after that? I DUNNO!
 
Looks like there still is democracy, there's just not a dedicated timer for it anymore. It would have been nice to get rid of it, considering there's no need for it anymore.

The numbers already dropped hugely from the first game. Myself included, if the title hadn't changed I'd probably still be skipping over it. Jumped the shark pretty hard after the first game finished.

Sincerely up until these last 3-4 day where the number dropped below 10k Gen2 has been fine, you couldn't expect to be on top of the world forever.
Thing is that i would call it a success if Emerald manages to float around 10k the entire time but i know it won't happen.
 
And now the chat is claiming the streamer said democracy is supposed to be disabled....and as I type this the stream goes down, so maybe he's fixing that.

Edit: Yep! Democracy permanently disabled.
At least until the end of Crystal
