PlayStation Network Thread (Vita/PS3/PS4) | March 2014

I didn't think that purchases on or after 3/18 qualified for the promotion?

lol. :X you give me more credit than due
(unless u are being sarcastic :P)

think the dev was pretty interested in the first place... just been talking (or badgering) them to consider Vita since the game's release on 3DS
(DO THE GAME SOME JUSTICE and have it on the VITA!)

I'm not being sarcastic, I give credit where due ;p

Between WiiU and Vita, they picked Vita... If I remember correctly.

and SCEA - We need a Vita Localization team already (Nintendo has one... although it focuses on Nintendo First Party games) BUT COME ON
They can't handle bringing their own first party game, do you honestly think they can bring the 3rd party?

The jrpgvita is just hard to believe. Nothing awaits on that. Yeah, they are working so HARD to localize Destiny of Spirits. Its wonderful.... GREAT JOB SONY.

Thanks all. So-- I can make purchases on March 18th and still qualify for the credit. All I needed to know.

Now, whether or not the store updates in time...

pssh, NOA treehouse ain't nothing special
They'd rather localize some scamco made disney game than Fantasy Life (which their own 1st party dev co-developed) & DQVII

At least they bring us Bravely Default (well, it's NOE incentive but still). The equivalent of Sony for that will FF Type-0.

Is GEB on Vita have right stick camera control?

PSP game on Vita, you can customize it, so yes.

That said, I really really really really reallyyyyyyyyy hate how they changed the PSP menu.

Long Touch -> Hold Down PS Button:
On the plus side, you now don't have to touch&smear the screen.
On the negative side, you have to select options after holding down button, and there's quite a lag before the PSP option pops up.

Universal Option For Controls:
This one gets to my nerves.
There's only negative side on this. Before I had a setup for each game. So I could do One Hand Gaming™ with some RPGs, and perfectly replace Select/Start with touch controls since the Select/Start button placements are bad. Now, I have redo the control setup each time.

Ok, so for my question:

GAF, decide for me: for that 60 get 10 deal which one should I get:

FFX/FFX2 and Danganronpa or FFX/FFX2 and Miku.

Decide for me, GAF.

The answers so far were:

Infamous is pretty awesome, you guys.

Always side with Miku.

Miku is already confirmed to be never ever ever getting a discount. Soooooooo, might as well do it now.

Okay. Buy FFX/FFX2 and Miku because:

A) Danganronpa 2 has already been announced for localization. You can support it next month and anything will happen. They're already happy with its sales.
B) Miku 2nd hasn't a localization announcement. You probably want the sequel, so you should support SEGA to prove them there is a audience for the game on the Vita here in the West too.

That's my reasoning.

It seems VitaGAF are in favor of Miku for the most part,eh? No dissenting opinion here? hahaha.

Miku is fantastic, never thought I'd enjoy it as much as I do and there's heaps of content and stuff to do. Danganronpa was good too but I never had an urge to go back to it after finishing it once.

Got in on the promotion by buying Dark Souls II and Danganronpa. I was planning to wait on Dark Souls, but the combo of the promotion + the really bad day I had yesterday convinced me. Planning to use my 10 off on the FFX remaster for Vita... so excited to revisit my favorite FF!

I bought a Vita a few days before christmas last year.

Started playing Soul Sacrifice, but got bored halfway through. The story is good, but I'm not liking the battles at all, they're just not as engaging as MH3U's. I'm level 40red/20good I think. I wish there was an easy mode so I could finish the story and forget about this.

Switched to Duodecim, and I'm not liking the story nor the battles too much. I just reached the 013 part and feel I'm starting to force myself through it.

Whether I quit or not I haven't decided, but after that I'll be playing FFIX, Persona 4G or Walking Dead so I'm sure it only gets better from here onwards.

you're level 40/20 and you can't finish the Story mode? Obviously you're doing something wrong. Every monster has a weakness, and did you ever check out the Sigils? I know that most people don't ever look in the Right Arm - to change their setups or make best of use of it.

I don't do either of those. I mean, I do get prepared for weaknesses, but I don't bother doing the chained weaknesses. I feel overwhelmed with all the types of weapons I can craft, so I mostly just go with an element set and a generic set of sword egg and those throwing knives, and only get different weapons if I can't win with those.

Maybe that's the problem, there's too many options here whereas in MH3U the enemies' tells are more predictable and the equipment management and abilities are easier to manage.

For sigils I've got stuff that makes me more evil and stronger at the expense of HP and DEF I think.

I think this is the first time anyone has thought Soul Sacrifice is more complicated than Monster Hunter. O.o

For reasons that are too convoluted to explain, I'm trying to get my Metal Gear Solid HD Collection back from some friends and instead exchange it with another friends Metal Gear Solid Legacy Collection, I need a question answered.

Are the saves from the Metal Gear Solid HD Collection compatible with the saves from the Metal Gear Solid Legacy Collection?

I vote for DanganRonpa personally, if you like Visual Novels. If you feel like you CAN play rhythm games on your Vita, you could go with Miku.

Back when I had a Vita, I bought a few PSP games. If I have CFW on my PSP for homebrew, can I still access PSN to download the games I bought?

Edit: It works! Downloading my PSOne Classics and Monhun now.

I don't know how you can go back to that crappy screen after using the glorious OLED. I know I can't. I gave my PSP to my friend and then he bought a Vita and now he doesn't use my PSP either.

Not just the screen either. Everything about the psp...I cannot go back now.

Anyway, played ffx hd yesterday and passed the infamous laughing scene. It is a lot more natural in native Japanese. I don't understand the language though, I am playing the Asian Chinese version.

.
I did it in around 40 level combined or so ~ .

Say you want to kill an Harpy, you could go
- cheapest way out -
4 sets of fire arrow, 1 frost arrow, and a Health recover. But you can have variety of weapons or magic as long as they're reachable to their weakness. When the magic's are almost breaking, kill smaller monster before they break and sacrifice.

You should also use mind's eye to see their weakness point and aim for it there to destroy cursed part. this game is not hard at all or complicated.

your sigil setup should go like attack % boost, atk/def boost , type/ critical hit boost etc.

Honestly, I prefer the PSP. The form factor is preferable because of the larger buttons and d-pad and considering I still use a 3DS XL often the screen doesn't bother me at all.

Got my first Perfect on Project Diva. Feel fulfilled and now I should probably focus on my assignments for university that I was supposed to do today...

Welcome to the club. I honestly missed a few of my assignments due to Miku.

Two new Neptunia games announced:

1. Chou Jigen Action Neptune U - Platform Undecided - Action Game
2. Shin Jigen Neptune VII (Victory Two) - Platform Undecided

For more information, please wait for Dengeki Playstation Vol.564 which goes on sale on April 10, 2014.

It's kinda obvious that it'll be for Playstation platform. Hopefully Vita is included.

Whoever designed that fucking tantram puzzle in VLR deserves to burn in hell for eternity, fucking incompetent asshole.
The puzzle itself sucks for not accepting all
parallelograms
and demanding some precision but the controls are just atrocious. Yeah, let's just port the fucking 3DS controls over instead of using the multitouch and out shitty UI surely doesn't lead to people hitting retry mistakenly instead of switching between moving and rotating.
