PlayStation Network Thread (Vita/PS3/PS4) | March 2014

Why do you hate XIII-2? I love it because Serah ( VA : Laura Bailey ) is the main character. But everything about it from a gameplay perspective is way better than FF13 Vanilla. Well, so far at least. I'm taking my sweet time working through it because I'm enjoying the music and experience so far.

I agree. 13-2 is far better than FF13 vanilla. It has way better gameplay mechanics and variety, and the protagonists aren't complete retards. I have said this before and I stand by what I said: 13-2 is a genuinely good RPG by any standards.

Is it possible to download/save vita wallpaper directly onto the system from the web browser or do you have to transfer them over from pc?

So no AAA title for Vita this year huh? man im kinda dissapointed this could be an excellent year for Vita if any AAA title appears but nop. nice ports and lots of indies. I hope they add the limitless bubbless update for the UI at least. Yeah im dreaming.

Hi there guys!

Man what a fraud :(
There were 2 games i loved playing on the japanese account, Yakuza Ishin app and Yu Nama the Puzzle.
Returned to the Eu account i wanted something new but i didn't want to spend too much so i was looking at some games and i was almost buying Puzzle Quest, then i thought "why buying a simple puzzle game when i can buy the awesome Yu Nama the Puzzle on PSM?"
What a huge mistake!
I thought it was the non f2p version of the f2p YU-Nama the Puzzle in the japanese store but it wasn't!
The PSM game is just a simple puzzle game, there are 10 levels each one with 10 heroes to kill, the Japanese one has a LOT more than that, it has lots of levels with 3 heroes, you beat a level and you get some of the heroes and a certain number of points, you make some of the captured heroes dig to find bonuses while you use those bonuses and the other heroes to level up and evolve your monsters.
There are hundreds of evolutions and level ups, leveling up and evolving monsters were the funny part of the game for me, the puzzle part was only necessary grinding, but the PSM game has only the puzzle part :(
I want my money back! :(

So uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh............. Dark Souls 2 looks interesting.

I mean, I am never a person that gets all jiffy with graphics and such and I think it looks... good... great, even..., on the various YouTube videos (that not part of its marketing materials) that I've seen.

Which makes this even more confusing: currently I have 90 dollars on my wallet so the options are:

1. Dark Souls for 60, then wait for the bonus 10 to kick in to get FFX/FFX-2.
2. Danganronpa + FFX/FFX-2 = left me with 20 with the 10 bonus.
3. Miku + FFX/FFX-2 = left me with 30 with the 10 bonus.

Urgggggggggggggggh I cannnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn't blooooooooody deciiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiide.

Steamworld Dig kind of falters at the end, like the game's kind of.... lose direction. It is a solid game, though, nonetheless.
2 no doubt, Danganronpa is really awesome and while i loved the miku demo i will never buy it if not really cheap because i'm not good at music games.
You could even consider Danganronpa + Miku lol.

It's not JRPG at all. It's an action RPG and the RPG stuff is not entirely heavy.

But you don't even have to worry about it. Behold the demo:

Now gaze upon the retail version of the same area:
Man what a downgrade!

I suppose the battle in my mind is now only between 2 and 3.

I decided not to get Dark Souls 2 after all. FFX/FFX-2 is a must though, there's no other way.

Considerations:

1. Danganronpa 2 is already slated for release so in all probability the 1st game will get a discount later on, and Miku seems like a game that will never get a discount, apparently...
2. However I do enjoy games like Danganronpa more than games like Miku, although Miku is infinitely more replayable and games like Danganronpa is a one-time affair....

Undecided, hahaha.

Miku will never get a discount within a year or two. Even the PS3 version that was released 1 year ago still have the original price.

Both Miku and Danganronpa are really new, you will have to wait a lot to get a sale on them.
If one of them was old then the obvious answer would have been to buy the new one and wait for the other to go on sale, but that's not the case, you can buy them without regrets.
If you liked VLR my answer still is Danganronpa, sadly it's true that once i platinumed it i have never touched it anymore, but isn't the same for most of the games? I really loved it, it's already long and it has a good post game mode that lets you know better the game characters.
What do you do with miku's replaybility if you are not good with music games?

Wait for the store update anyway, there could be new sales.

Don't do this to my mind, *sob*

You just have to know what your preference is. Incredibly addicting action game but with a high difficulty curve with a tinge of RPG or a full blow turn-based RPG that has one of the most innovative use of leveling system and its sequel with a superior battle system and a rhythm game that is addicting to do and fun to watch and edit videos and songs with a very small learning curve/VN game that has a very compelling story.

Come on bro, FFX gives you Blitzball. You know you want some Blitzball right into your veins. Don't listen to the haters. Blitzball is the best minigame ever made.

I think I spent like 20-30h playing Blitzball. I liked it that much lol

i haven't been paying attention to it but is FFX and FFX-2 remaster for vita download only?

The retail version has a cart for FFX and a download code for X-2.

US PSN's buy for $60, get $10 back promo is ending by tomorrow so make your purchases soon, preferably AFTER this week's Plus announcement on US PSN

If anyone wants something for their Vita I would super strongly recommend:
Ys: The Oath in Felghana
Ys Seven

Yeah, I can attest to this. Great Games.

Gaf, I'm so hooked to TxK I downloaded a clone of T2K for my phone to play during lessons. But works like shit :( next time I'll bring a wiimote around...

Related to FFX - it seems that Sly trilogy has a voucher as well. Sly 1-2 on cart, 3 is a voucher. At least in europe

.

But I thought I made it pretty clear that I obviously want to pursue FFX/FFX-2, I mean in all of that 1 2 3 option I always include FFX/FFX-2.

This. Banana has no dignity.

;__________________________;

I am wavering back to Dark Souls 2 now... when I asked this question to my Vita club members the Dark Souls 2 option got 8 votes, the Miku got 7 votes, and Danganronpa got 2 votes.

Go easy on the guy, it's bad enough he has to buy Japanese games for them to be announced for localization the very next day.

What the hell were they thinking with Unit13's aim assist? I literally deleted the game after completing the tutorial because of how bad it was. This is literally the first I found such a horrible case of aim assist. Was an option to disable it so fucking difficult?

Yeah, but those sinners wanted to take you away from the right path with promises of death and challenge.

I already said you should go for FFX + Miku. I don't especially like Miku, but DR2 already has a localization announcement while Project Diva 2nd doesn't. If you want more Miku on your Vita you should buy it as soon as you can.

Do you have a good PC? If you have it would be wise to wait for the PC version of Dark Souls II.
As someone who liked the first one i'd give it my vote otherwise. Then Dangan Ronpa, then miku.

And i forgot, buy GE2 so it will get localized, please.

Hi there guys!

The year is still young. I imagine we will see at least one AAA vita game out of Sony.

Looks like he hasn't bought Type 0 yet.

You both are terrible. Good people would have given him 5$ to help with Banana's localization efforts.

You're on my "i-don't-want-to-be-your-friend" list along with people that waifu-ed Naoto.

Obviously joking
Not on that part about Naoto. That's a serious thing

It's the only Vita game I dropped so far, and I even finished that shitty Lego Ds spin off up-port that was given away with plus.

I don't know if it's because I'm not into that kind of shooter(SOCOM FTB 3 bored me too) or the game is actually boring.

It has been popularly theorized that the Banana can't accept money from others or the curseThe Magic™ won't work.

Is Ys Seven worth $15? I was thinking of picking up Oath in Felghana on Vita but I'm looking for something a bit longer so I was thinking Seven might satisfy me for that price and I can pick up Oath in Felghana in a Steam/PSN sale later on. Never played any of these games but they look incredibly fun.

Hmm any suggestions for ~$20 for my Vita to get to the $60 promo right now? PSP/PSV/PS1. How's Dustforce? Flower? I might pick up Chrono Cross to replay it.

And why is Tomba 2 rated so low on PSN? I loved the first game and I heard the second game was about as good too.

Ys Seven is more easily satisfying.

Oath of Felghana is more difficult but tighter.

Tombs 2 was (is?) an untranslated Japanese import, which wasn't mentioned on the store page initially. I'm sure many people felt deceived.

I just noticed that BL2 (Vita) will be playable at GDC. Has this been known already? Hopefully we'll get some previews/impressions

http://us.playstation.com/develop/gdc-2014/booth-features/#gamekiosk - at the very bottom there is a list of games that will be on display
About time. Please be good.

Blitzball is almost enough for me to change my mind and tell him to buy the new "PS2 Classic" Dark Souls 2.
