Figure GAF |OT| Where has all of my money gone?

sometimes EMS is only marginally more expensive than SAL, especially on large shipments. EMS for a single fig is kind of a waste, but I've had orders where it is like a $5 difference only, in which case I always do EMS.

Considering it seems to only be a 5 dollar difference I don't see the big deal. At least in my experience with AmiAmi the difference is nothing when looking at the cost of the rest of the order. I don't mind dropping an extra 3-5 bucks to have it very fast.
 
yea, sometimes you have no choice and have to go EMS. maybe it's good for large shipments, but i don't do those anyway or i'll get hit with a huge costums bill.

Are you in the US? I have yet to been hit with a customs bill here in the states yet thankfully. Even on a bigger box I got from them.

The costs add up if you have many packages being shipped separately cuz of the release dates. I'm fine with SAL Registered unless the figure is rare or was hard to find. They all arrive fine so I don't see the need for EMS now especially since the handling times are identical with AmiAmi. The difference for me is usually $5-10 for the small parcels.

Ya I could see that. When I first started a few weeks ago I keep doing the multiple shipments from AmiAmi. Would have saved a lot buy just waiting but I was excited lol. So glad they have monthly shipments.
 
For my March of doom, I'm wondering if I should just get everything shipped individually SAL, if possible.

2X Tharja, Alleyne, Iris Hartley, Dark Angel Olivia. I might get WAVE's Rise in there, too.

I think the only one non-SALable is Olivia?

Most of the time, my orders end up large enough that the price difference is practically negligible in the grand scheme of things between the various shipping options. In that case, I always go EMS. However, when I'm ordering a single smaller or inexpensive item I'll go SAL. Just depends on the circumstances.
 
Email sent to Amiami to move Kamael into the April order and 2020 Miku moved to April through Hobbysearch's useful web interface. I like Amiami's prices but their order management tools are horrid, not to mention not really readable. HS rocks for that.

While on the latter website, my eyes fell on this figure(link is very much NSFW). The figure is bad, the quality is terrible, the price is lolworthy and yet I cannot help but stare at the lewdness of it all. That also reminded me that Prison School Viceprez is out. Now to watch for it dropping in price.

A good idea is to just get any cheap merch like a keychain which costs 6 dollars. I just browsed a bit to see what was there, and depending on what you're into there's a bunch which are releasing end March.

Yeah, the catsuit. I don't like her other figure, the costume was meh and the base ridiculously big. Would look out of place everywhere.

So that Figure that I was thinking of buying off Crunchyroll 2 pages back was an Ultimate Madoka. Didn't have enough money at the time so I waited, and now it's sold out. I might keep looking for one, but at this point I'm kind of having second thoughts considering the size of it.
 
Starting to get antsy about Olivia and Miku2020. Haven't received a delay notice for Miku, and naught but silence about Olivia.

Might just e-mail AmiAmi and have them send out my Velvet and just move Miku out until she comes out in June or July...
 
Anyone order a wall scroll from AmiAmi before? I know this isn't exactly figure related but figured someone would have a answer. How bad is the shipping on it?

2020 Miku is delayed to April, was posted on the previous page. No news about Olivia however.

I never order just a wallscroll but I ordered a calendar that as big as one in EMS. Lets just say sal is out of the question if its a regular size wallscroll.

I saw the delay mentioned for Miku, but usually Ami will send a notification, especially if you have used items combined with a delayed figure.

As for Olivia, someone here said they'd already received a payment request from AmiAmi, so I thought the floodgates had started to open.

Speaking of regrets, I really regret not getting that Alleyne now...

I bought the blue Haruka equivalent of this figure. Blue is based on the anime look whereas pink is based on the game art. Personally for me the anime Haruka has a better face. Since I don't have the pink one to compare it in person I can't say if there is a quality difference but I didn't notice anything off with my blue one.

ah okay, I've only played the game so maybe that explains why the blue one seemed really off to me
