PlayStation Network Thread (Vita/PS3/PS4) | March 2014

If I want to clear all of the data from my old Vita memory card so that I can sell it, I just have to reformat it from the settings, right? Would that get rid of all of my previous account information and everything?

Edit: Top of the page, buy Muramasa because Flandy refuses to listen to me.

World of overpriced indie games?

You can get AAA games for 5 euros on steam and net cost of getting retail disc on day one and selling it few days later is also like 10-15 euro.
Behold !! The negative side of Steam sales that harldy have any place in this thread if you're not gonna say something of substance, the devaluation of video games !! I don't feel like going too in depth to rebute your out of place claim, but in a vacuum, yes, you can get 6 $10 indie games for the price of 1 $60 AAA game. That, is the point I was making.

Anyway, FFX is so good, only complaint is this watermarks are rendering Operation Witty Screencap Responses useless.

How good/bad are these games
Fort Defense & Fort Defense North Menace
Age Of Zombies
Furmins
Superfrog HD
Total Recoil

I just realised Atomic Ninjas isn't in the AU store, but you can buy their avatars -_-
I also never released how many of the indie games aren't available on the AU store, damn separate and expensive classification fees I assume.

Yeah, what a douche, helping Vita actually getting games. Vita's library would be half as long if it wasn't for him.

And of course, game development now takes only a few months, somehow.

He's been saying the same stuff about JRPG Vita since last year. I'm not trying to discredit him in any way, he should just stop overhyping stuff.

I wouldn't be surprised if the JRPG we're getting is Freedom Wars, which I wouldn't mind but it's not what we asked for

Freedom Wars isn't an RPG.

Played the PS Minis version of Age of Zombies and thought it was a nice twinstick shooter. Wouldn't buy it at full price but will pull the trigger on the sale price myself.

Bought Superfrog and I don't like it. Furmins and Total Recoil have a demo so you can try them yourself. Only played the demo of both and I think both aren't good. Total Recoil looks just cheap and generic. Was very disappointed by Furmins because it is a Housemarque game. The puzzle gameplay is boring and the controls way too nitpicky.

Which is why I created a new facebook account strictly for sharing game videos. That way I can make them all public without spamming my real facebook account.
I did the same thing. I only have a AssCreed4 video and the photo booth picture from TLoU DLC.
If anyone wants to add me I'm Psn Spectyre

The only ones overhyping stuff is GAF, constantly taking his tweets out of context or clinging to specific tweets and reposting them over and over again and then somehow claiming that he never delivers when they are talking about the exact same thing all the time.

You will get games, don't worry. But most of Neogaf really should stop having highly unrealistic expectations and take things the guy says on his personal twitter account so seriously, hyping it to levels that could match HL3. Because you will always get dissapointed. And thats not on him, that's entirely on you.

People also forget the following: games can take a hell of a time to make. If Shahid signs a deal for a game and talks about it, the game has barely started its development stage.
Secondly, the guy could have signed Type 0, a new Kingdom Hearts, the Tales vita games and even Half-Life 3 and you would never know it was him. For obvious reasons, he can't exactly announce what games he signed outside of indies.

I'm enjoying Steamworld Dig, but have one issue. I completely wasted a teleporter by building one about 10 seconds before finding another. Can I get rid of the one I built?

Should I buy the physical or digital copy of FFX? Im still waiting for my 64gb mem card, which is currently intransit right now. I want to fill it up with games, but im not even sure what to download (I just bought my VITA last month).

I already bought Persona 4, which was one of the main reasons I bought one.

Thanks for the response. Will probably just get Steamworld Dig and Luftrausers first haha.

Even the physical version comes with a download code for FF-X2.
The digital version of the collection lets you download each game separately (~3.4 gb each).

I just got Superfrog and had Total Recoil for months now and I would say that both are good games :). Superfrog's levels are HUGE, making it alot of fun to explore and collection things, that plus its solid controls make it a decent platformer :).

Total Recoil is okay, with it having decent visuals and good controls but from what I've played of it, all you do is shot stuff. That is not a bad thing, but it makes long play sessions quite repetitive. Either way its a decent buy if its at a good price.

That... doesn't look as bad as I was expecting. Hopefully it's a little more stable by release.

I might not buy it at full price (I own it on 360 and PS3 thanks to PS+ already) but I'd probably give it a go for the novelty for a bit cheaper.

I mean in general.

I prefer all digital because switching carts is a pain.

Edit: And in the case of FFX/X-2 buying both physical costs twice the price since they're sold separately, plus postage.

Digital it is. Makes sense I bought the memory card, might as well fill it up.

Does FFX/X-2 run at a locked 30fps, and is it in native-resolution?

FFX PS3 = 1080p @ 30fps, no AA
FFX Vita = Very slightly subnative @ 30fps, most people won't notice because of what I presume is FXAA. FPS rarely drops. I don't know what's up with the screenshots but the aliasing is barely there; I usually only see it on Tidus' hair.

wow its actually 1080p on PS3? thats pretty impressive.

is kingdom hearts 1.5 the same?

the best place to play this is on the Vita
Agreed completely!

I originally got it on Wii U and was a bit put off by the fov being small (I like to see my obstacles a fair disstance away in games like this where it helps) and I enjoyed the gamepad play but hated the lack of vibrant colours I got while playing in HD. The Vita fixes both of those plus gives me portability, it's wonderful.

1.5 renders at a resolution between 720p and 1080p I think (with a good amount of aa?) Could fool me easily into being a 1080p game, looks so good on my plasma.
