Some of the design decisions drive me crazy especially when it comes to enemy placement. I feel like this game has more soul crushing points then the previous two. Drives me crazy and NG+ is gonna be a pain. -.-
The good ol' 1 more hit to kill a boss and then the boss kills you trick, eh Dark Souls. Very funny. VERY FUNNY MUTHA FUCKER!!
Yea I figured that out but is there any way to combat it?
Not that I've seen, which is one of my biggest disappointments, if not the biggest, from the pre-release hype. Well, maybe they wereRandom question, without spoiling anything, do you at some point fight the guys with the really cool masks from the original DS2 announcement trailer back in 2012? Because I really want that mask as my armor regardless of how shitty it may be.
Drangleic Castle is pretty awesome, especially the approach. Finally found the first bonfire and am going to pick from there tomorrow. Good progress today.
You know, the Herald does give you thatok i think this is kind of fuckedlol, I killed myself.I drop down a ledge in Dragon Aerie and get an item and there is no way back up
What was it?
I figured it out on my own because I like to revisit areas after a while to see if anything new popped. And that contraption was something I noticed being locked early on, so...That part's bullshit, I had to look it up online eventually.
I have no idea how you're supposed to figure that out on your own, or why you'd go back there in the first place since you don't get an item to unlock it and as far as I know it's not even hinted in any dialoguetalk to the woman selling miracles right after the dragon rider boss in heides tower, once you've exhausted her dialog she'll move to the passage and help you move the contraption

[very late game spoilers] What the fuck is with the Mof Jemory? I geteigh.burnt to death by those fiery catapult projectile long before I can even get one hit on that giant. :S Am I missing a trick? They hint at a time limit, too, which annoys me.
You should have gotten a thing that will help you with the first problem you mention.down. He wasn't really that hard. I just blocked and circled to his right and dodged his his big power attack. Have no idea were to go next. The emerald herald said something about a forest so I'm guessing that's the area were the guy with the mgs was but I thought a statue was blocking the way?Lost sinner
Also question for any mages. The spells get better right? The ones I have now are kind of elementary. The only one I have that's interesting isbut it did no damage against the boss insoul spear barrageso I stopped using it.No-Mans wharf
I just dashed past the first two smaller things and fought the large thing. Though it gave me an option to examine another thing after and I'm wondering if I missed something there as my time did in fact run up as I hit X.
How were you notburnt to a crisp, though? Do the fireballs stop spamming on you if you run far enough on the bridge?
I'm not sure. I think they only hit in two spots. I waited for it to hit near me and off I went. I took the advice of a message.

Do you mean the? I figured I needed to find another switch or get a key.branch thing
Well, nevermind. A message saidand so that's what I did."dashing through!"The fire indeed does stop at the area near the fog. After that he was cake. Firestorm utterly annihilates it.
LOL, as I was typing thisthat asshole Navlaan invaded me on my way back. Took me by surprise haha. He invades friggin' everywhere. Regretting having freed him now... xD

I still can't figure out how to get there.

Just got to the (mid/late game location?)Ended up standing still at the start for a few minutes, and turned around with a "Nope!" shortly after, before steeling my nerve and heading in. Silent Hill and DaS' Tomb of Giants are the only other games that have elicited that reaction out of me. Such a well done little area, especially after the incredibly lame and linear rest of thefoggy forest with the invisible ghosts..Shaded Woods
Finally beat. Ended up respeccing as a pyro and it suddenly went from hardest boss in the game to four-hit cakewalk. I might try to grab theDarklurkerandLucatieltrophies and then onwards to NG+.Benhart
A question:
What did the pharros lockstone do in the Iron Keep and Earthen Peak do? It made a little puddle of water next to them...and that's it.
Class?Any strategy suggestions forfreya
I haven't really tried it for myself but just getting summoned in to help people I am getting owned really quickly

More important than thatThe water heals you.
So which boss is this game's O&S-style chokepoint?
So only two optional bosses left (the hardest ones):and wondering if it's even worth fighting them at this point, I keep dying with them and I kinda just want to go over and explore new game+.The King and Ancient Dragon
So which boss is this game's O&S-style chokepoint?
Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck you TheROTTEN! Oh man I spent like 45 minutes being super careful, avoiding being poisoned, lighting sconces trying to avoid ambushes, and I summon some people for this boss seeing how tough he was, and I get myself killed when he has 1/10 health left and now I get to do it ALLLLLL again! Is there a bonfire I missed in that second area with all the poison statues?
Where did you find the second one?
Did co-op recon on thebefore attempting it alone...Jesus. This will not be fun. How many bonfires are in that area? The last one I had was the one immediately after theSpiderbossfight. That's a loooot of catching up to do when I inevitably die dozens of times.undead clerics

Yes but their mask was changed, you find them atEarthen Peak
i have trouble getting to that corpse with loot on a mushroom in Huntsman's Copse. i drop a little down from the bridge area with a dead end. then it looks like you have to jump over, but my char will always end up in the pit with that knight down there and chest (the rapier). anyone know how to get it?
Sounds good. I'm waiting for the PC version. Wasn't hyped at first, but now I'm feeling the Dark Souls itch! DS1 is probably my Game of the Generation. Two different ones I think.
1. Ruin Sentinels. Can be encountered very early in the game. You first have to fight one of them on a small elevated platform, and then two of them at the same time in a more open area. They wield long spears with great reach and can stun lock you easily. One of the latter two is very aggressive and will quickly chase you down. Long reach, combo attacks, etc... Two of them also have shields which can be a problem.
2. Smelter Demon. Extremely high defense and all of his attacks are considered to be pure-fire attacks when he gets to 50%, so blocking with the vast majority of shields is useless. Has a delay on a few of his attacks that make rolling tricky to time. Plenty of multi hit combos you have to precisely roll through, since blocking won't prevent much damage. Now this boss is actually skippable, but it's ill-advised since you'll miss the bonfire that unlocks after killing him.
