Has there been a patch yet ? Because I just bought the game for my 360 and for some reason it's saying my "console can't connect to xbox live" without any explanation. I didn't change anything to my set up. It isn't even trying. I never got this problem before. Didn't turned on this piece of shit for a month only.

Failed to create summon sign here as well. Either their servers are wonky or something is up with that patch. I hope they'll fix it soon.

Anyon else feel like there are way too many quality weapons in this game? As a str based character I didn't find that many options unless I would seriously invest in either dex or one of the caster stats. So far only the clubs and the greatsword seem to be mostly str focused to me. =/
Same to both errors - patching and otherwise. How annoying, I just upped the level of a bonfire and was about to MP for the Paledrake Soul. Guess I'll just use the mostly useless NPC.

Yeah 30-40 were giving me tons of damage when I was maxing DEX.
If you are two handing your STR weapon, stop at 20. If you are one handing it go to 40 if you'd like.
Are you watching your stamina bar?
They have changed lock on range guessing for reasons when game was focused on whole torch aspect. It obvious when in dark areas you can barely lock on

It's probably because of the stupid menu icons. Sometimes it takes like 5 seconds for the menu to appear when I hit start becuse it has to load so many icons at once I feel.
Lock seems the same as ever to me though.

Server error while patching... okay then. That's a first.
So anyone else getting a HTTP Status Code: 503 error thingie when trying to download the 1.02 update right now? The internet whispers is a server-side error, so I venture to guess it's just the hour and the wave of people climbing one on top of each other to get to the game.
Someone else having the same issue will help with confirming it. Otherwise, I have to put on my tinkerer hat and see what the hell's going on.

What miracles should I be aiming for as a STR/FTH build? So far I haven't put any points into faith or attunement, but I'm going to start now that I'm at comfortable melee levels, just wondering how many slots and what max faith I should aim for...
I really hope someone finds a scythe with the great scythe moveset from Dark Souls.
The great scythe is in the game, is the move set different?

The Lightning Bolts are still pretty nice, great heal is good, Divine Thunder is kinda like a firestorm spell just with lightning strikes. Pretty fun to use here and there but it's pretty risky. I'd say go for at least 3 slots at 16 attunement.
They changed the 2HR2 and the 2H Running attack to stuff that sucks.
Phew, great to know.
Oh, and just now I pressed on cancel in the you-got-a-patch window - and the game started in Offline mode. Saved me a trip to have a discussion with the cable.

I've gotten some pretty bad menu lag but i assume that is common. I was talking more about when the game just mysteriously eats a button input during combat or the occasional input lag. It's not a huge deal but im noticing it quite a bit more than in DS1.

I'm going full on magic build, but i just got a notched whip.
What do you guys think: should i replace my dagger with a whip? Would focusing on DEX to wield a whip be a bad idea? What kind of damage can i expect outta this thing?

Just make sure that if you do, you buy what you want from him and sell him any items you want to get rid of, that first time you talk to him. After you've talked to him once, he moves to another level and you won't see him again for a while. I messed this up on my first characters playthrough.
It because you not got final soul before heading to castle got some unique dialog because you have.
