getting summoned to a world with another faith character and both of us throwing lightning spears makes me feel like gwynn in the dark souls 1 opening lol

How do fck do I join the Warrior of the Sun convenant. I dont know that is in the Harvest Valley but I cant reach it.

Ok, where did Lucatiel disappear to?

I talked to her at Bastille, Wharf, and Earthen Peak. But after talking to her at Earthen Peak, she disappeared. I'm almost at the end game and I still haven't seen her again.

Same goes for Benhart.

I found her in a hidden cave in
Black Gulch
. She was rather crestfallen... I fear
another Solaire situation coming up.

There's
paths before entering Earthen Peak, where you have the poison fog valley. It should be a path on the left that takes you to it.

Just did the the Huntsman Copse boss..
Terrified when I first saw a bunch of Bonewheel skeletons pop up...these are not your Dark Souls Bonewheels. Fun fight though just with the sheer number of guys they throw at you.

Ended up running the area leading up to the Earthen Peak boss a bunch so I ended up with a few pieces of Desert Sorceress gear. My lady bandit can now dress up like a 90's Chaos Comics character :D

Lol. Luckily I noticed they spawned after you killed one so I took my time killing one, killing the adds, and repeating

I'm rolling with a Berserker Blade in one hand, Blacksteel Katana in the other, powerstanced, with the Aurous Helm, amazing Llewellyn chest armor, Llewellyn gloves, and Alonne Knight Leggings.

I look pretty fucking cool, if I do say so myself.

Got to Sinners rise and damn i get slapped up hard by the big beasts down in the sewer sections. Even the friendly phantom women i summon gets killed by them and if i make it past them the exploding mummies do there thing..

Also I installed yesterdays patch and now i can't summon anyone nor does anyone summon me when i put my sign down.

Is this happening to anyone else?

that's it for tonight.
making my way through Iron Keep, Smelter Demon was pretty easy, 2 tries. Got the dull ember and upgraded my Great Sword +10 to a Lightning weapon.
I feel very accomplished.

Question about stats:
if I'm calculating this correctly, my GS+10 was 400 + 168, my Lightning GS is 280 + ~50 and 280 + ~30, seems like the Lightning ver. is more powerful, but I haven't used it yet. Does it split up the physical and elemental damage? If so, is it still worth it? I'm a Str build.

Ok so I already beat old iron king but am kinda confused as to where I go now. I thought shaded ruins but that seems just to be a single area.

The hole in the ground in the center of majula. Either use the ladder merchant or buy the fall damage reducing ring from the cat.

An armor ain't an armor if it doesn't have a cloak. They do say Dark Souls is 95% looking badass.

There's a path between those two towers in shaded ruins, the ones in the area that's to the right after heading away from the bonfire. I missed this and it had me re-searching old areas for hours because I thought I had cleared shaded ruins. I went up to the second floor of one of the towers and crossed over to the other one, went back downstairs, and left. never went between them.

Aldia's Keep
. Assuming you completed the requeirements for her sidequest.

Too bad armor designs don't hold a candle to the first game or demon's for that matter.

Is there anything else in the area after beating
Throne Watcher and Throne Defender
? I mean there is obviously the door across the gap but it doesn't appear I have the means to get there yet.

I read an obscure message somebody left saying to "try something for something special" but that helped me about as much as you can imagine hahah, love the souls community

We posting our characters now?

All the way down to the black gulch and the primal bonfire? If you have all the primals lit, go to the shrine in shaded woods.

Ok I'll comb through that area again in case I missed it. Thanks.

Man sometimes the game is just unfair in terms of encounter design. Like putting you in a fight with enemies that do AoE attacks on top of a small platform or making you fight large enemies in corridors with literally zero room to move around and the only way you can traverse is either forward or backward. (This is the area after defeating the Smelter Demon). Still manageable but I'd say the this is more of an annoyance rather than challenge.

Alright I found the area between the two towers in shaded ruins

At least I'm not the only one, I was fully confused about where to go at that point, having gotten 3/4 powerful souls and seemingly cleared out everything. Just a small path I never saw despite being there several times.

Any places to farm titanite chuncks? Just found out the Great Clun has an S scaling in strength, that bad boy needs to be +10 asap, i'm drowning in slabs, but the chunks seem to be ultra rare.

Bell keeper covenant. Every successful fight gives you a titanite chunk. Brightstone Cove has a ton of 1 time drops of them, however.

can't wait to play more later. i just reached i
ron keep. but i'm going back and explore the area before it a bit more.
i have still quite a few areas to explore even thought i've played for 30something hours. this game feels larger than the predecessor.

Btw, for those who didn't know, powerstancing dual weapons doesn't require the weapons to be in the same weapon category, like two Katanas, two curved swords, etc.

They just have to have the same attack type. So you can powerstance, for example, a Katana (slash/thrust) with a Trident (thrust), since both have a thrusting attack (and as you might expect, the special power attacks with that combo are two-handed forward thrusts).

And yes you have to be 1.5x above the stat reqs for each weapon.

you can't say that and have no picture

I'll take one eventually, haha :)

Generally-speaking I'd agree, but I think Llewellyn's is easily up there. The cloak is magnificent, and it comes complete with fur collar. Makes you look like a member of the Night's Watch from Game of Thrones/AsoIaF.

Only weighs 6.8 too.

Ugh really? The only way to get chuncks reliably is trough a covenant is trough a covenant? That's some bulshit. And I'm already at sl110, probably to high for that place.

Tell me....how can carry such an big sword and heavy armour? What is your VIT stat? And do you use the ring?

Keep in mind that you only start fat rolling once you hit 70% equip load in this game. I read somewhere that you then roll slightly faster under 50% and faster still at 25% but below 70% has been fine for me.

Here are my stats and equipment:

Soul Level: 148 (going for 150)
VGR: 52
END: 20
VIT: 24 (I could lower this, my total equip load is 83.8 with a ring but I'm only using 65.7%)
ATN: 5
STR: 40
DEX: 12
ADP: 38
INT: 6
FTH: 5

Greatsword +10
Lightning Short Bow +6 (Iron and Poison arrows)

Archdrake Helm +10
King's Armour +5
King's Gauntlets +5
Elite Knight Leggings +10

Chloranthy Ring
Spell Quartz Ring +2
Ring of Blades +1
Third Dragon Ring

You can eventually buy an unlimited quantity of them, but only when you're effectively finished with all non-optional parts of the game.
