It does add some uses to your spells yes, but not a lot. I use it a good bit for adding another Soul Greatsword or whatever. You can get his outfit if you level up INT and Faith to 20 - that might not be something you want to do, though. Can always use a soul vessel!

As far as ruining anything... Hmm, I'm not sure - you lose access to his spells obviously. But can't you just revive any NPC in this game with souls, anyways?

I've been putting my summon sign on the bridge by Iron Keep for pvp and kept getting attacked by groups of people. Two times I managed to kill three dudes. Felt great.

Having quite a bit of fun just helping out folks with Ancient Dragon. That fight is so, so easy once you get past the one shot mechanics. And the run up the hill even if folks die on the boss is worth 30k souls or thereabouts.

Fantastic game. Think I might platinum this one.

Curved Dragon Greatsword is quite nice if you don't mind heavier weapons. Massive base attack rating and actually scales at S with DEX, and B with STR once upgraded.

I haven't messed around with too many others but the Warped Sword has a nice moveset and is apparently pretty strong once upgraded.

So far the only boss weapon I like is the dragon rider bow. It scales better with STR, but it's better than my improved short bow and the lighting bow I found by a lot.

I also got and improved the dragonslayer spear to +3. The damage is lackluster but the R2 attack casts lightning spear so it has some utility.

I spend 90% of my time in Dark Souls in the gold hemmed skirt, the crimson waistcloth, or the dingy set, and here I am, 60 hours in, and the only skirts I have is the lion mage one, which is cool as part of its set but isn't a real full skirt like those.

are they just rare drops or rewards for buying too much from specific merchants, or just not present?

and they were positioned in a spot where soon as I retrieved them I would die, I had a bright idea and tried using the homeward bone immediately after recovering them but the animation after using it took to long and I'd die before it completed.

I must of died 10 times before finally recovering them safely, Talk about a nerve racking experience lol.

There is an exit in that cave besides the one you came in that opens when the boss is beaten. Go into that new exit

I've been wearing the white priest skirt. It goes quite well with the Drangleic armor. The juxtapose nicely.

You probably need the

Giant's Kinship item. To get this you need to get the Ashen Mist Heart from the Ancient Dragon at the Dragon Aerie. Once you have it, go into the memory of the Giant (the trees that look like giants) to get the Giant Kinship. Then go fight the last boss.

Im glad its not just my imagination. There's something really odd with the hitboxes. Hitting the piggies in majula (or trying to) really highlights this.

I think its pretty clear that its a duel if I summon them via the dragon eye or vice versa
