Yes! I finally beat
Darklurker
:) I think that a bug in the game happened actually. After i had taken out about 50% of it's health, the boss just stood still at one spot. I probably would have made it sooner or later anyway though, since now i upgraded my Dark Pyromancer glove to the max and this boss is weak to fire.

Now i have beaten every boss solo, so i'm about to start a NG+. I just need to get the
Chaos Storm
spell in
Iron Keep
, then i'm good to go for NG+.

ok, this is a minor gripe but where are the nice skirts, dammit?

I spend 90% of my time in Dark Souls in the gold hemmed skirt, the crimson waistcloth, or the dingy set, and here I am, 60 hours in, and the only skirts I have is the lion mage one, which is cool as part of its set but isn't a real full skirt like those.

are they just rare drops or rewards for buying too much from specific merchants, or just not present?

late game: I cleared the M
emory of Jeigh
fight last night; it was the first time I've gotten truly annoyed at the load times because I quickly died a bunch of times until I sussed out how to do it perfectly. With better load times I wouldn't have ever thought "this is some cheap bullshit" because it really wasn't all that hard, but I confess the thought crossed my mind.

I switched up my character load out a little
from a +10 staff to a +10 pyro glove
and used
Fire Storm three times
and it was all over.

I had a great time in the D
ragon
S
hrine
, but no way in hell am I fighting that optional boss y'all are having such a hard time with, not on this character at least, hah. I was glad I explored it thoroughly because it was cool to find some of the great gear there on my own.
When you beat the
Darklurker and speak with the Dark covenant guy afterwords, you get a full armor set, and the leggings is a skirt. Its kinda open in the front though, so its not covering everything like a standard skirt does.

My buddy sent me this. I thought it was hilarious and fantastic.

Hopefully someone can help i lit the four
primal bonfires
and have no idea where to go next. I assumed that i had to head for the shaded woods but the door wont open. :/

You are heading to the door at the left entrance? Opposite side of the foggy forest entrance?

I still am completely blacked out in regards to the content in this game

Even reading spoilers doesn't actually spoil anything for me

I'm not too keen on the level design thus far in the game but the enemy design is great so far just a few boring/lame enemies abound

but loving it so far

I'm kinda bummed the Twin Dragon Greatshield is so good for it's weight considering it's so shoddy looking. Some greatshields, like the Tower Shield or the (early boss souls weapon)
Pursuer
's Greatshield look majestic as fuck but bring only a marginal performance increase at twice the weight. I want to communicate 'stand back guys, I'll tank this shit for you' to my coop compadres but it doesn't seem to be worth it.

Um... any tips for
Belfry Luna, the boss(es) especially. I keep getting invaded every time I set foot in the fucking place by guys who are too strong for me to kill and I can't find any summon signs anywhere to help with the boss as well. Yet when I play offline to stop the invading the gargoyles boss fight is just too much at once for me to handle alone. Can't kill any of them but the first one fast enough to make the fight any more managable.
.

It's getting me down big time :(

You and me both bro. Same place.

It's a DPS race - come back with a fully upgraded weapon and some gold pine resin so you can kill gargoyles quicker than they spawn.
I didn't attempt that fight until about SL100 myself, but so long as you've got the right gear you should be fine. And yeah, stay offline for that area - the PVP there is laughably one-sided. It's a fun challenge if you're there specifically to get ganked but if you're trying to get to the boss it's an unnecessary nuisance.

Is it possible to parry the larger but still humanoid bosses like
lost sinner?
also how does the armor reduction work. If i have something with poison resistance or physical resistance. Is it literally taking off just that amount from those damage sources?

Soooo tips for O

I
ron
K

?

What class are you playing as? A warrior? Bring a bow! A sorcerer? Sorce!

Essentially, he has only a few attacks where you can comfortably hack in on him (his single or double fist slam, and his palm lava beam), so doing chip damage with some ranged attacks is very helpful. Also, you know that attack where he spits multiple balls of fire in a horizontal sweep? I found that if you stand close to the edge of the platform (i.e. he's on the left side, then stand on the right side with your right to the edge and your left to the wall, if that makes sense) will make all his shots miss, so you get a free window to do some ranged attacks.

Some fire-resistant gear is also helpful for when you do get hit, like the Alonne set you can get from the knights in the keep, the flame quartz ring, and the Gyrm greatshield.

And beware of getting swept into the hole in the middle of the platform, that got me killed a lot more times than the rest of the lava did.

Does it matter if i've already traded some of them in for boss weapons?

All it says is
produce the symbol of the king

Wrong door.
You want the one that used to say "produce greater souls" or something similar. Should be left from the crossroads (opposite direction from the misty area)
.

I believe so. I know you parry the Pursuer.

As for armour, I think it goes off a percentage.

You can avoid this fate by forcing him to resurface on the far side of the arena while you blast him from the other side with ranged attacks. When he dives simply stand as close to the lava on the far side (left of the entrance) and he'll resurface there every time. This lets you use the side of the building on the other end as cover. Just remember that his little hand laser attack cuts right through the building, though. This method is so cheap it almost feels like an exploit, but From put that lava pit in the middle specifically to get swept into so I won't feel too guilty about cheating the boss out of some cheap kills.

Hahah, D
arklurker had a sliver of life left when I ran headfirst into a laser beam. I actually think this is a pretty fun fight but having to get through a chasm every try is very tedious. Im going in via Shaded Ruins, very easy phantoms but it takes a while.

That sucks hehe :\ I did that boss in
Drangleic Castle. Its only 4 enemies there, and they dissapear after you have taken them out about 10 times or so (this goes for the other places too though). But the bonfire is also the closest place to the dark portal in Drangleic Castle, it just takes like 5 seconds to run from the bonfire to the dark portal.

What is the easiest way to deal with the
poison in harvest valley?
I would use poison moss.
You can avoid most of the poison areas though. Its just that are at the bonfire and right after there where you have to go into the poison
.

EDIT: Oh, if you want the items, then i would also recommend poison moss or simply run through there and pick up the items as fast as possible. Try to use pretty much all of your souls before doing that though, then you dont have much to lose when you die.

Don't worry about nabbing the items there until you're hollow with no souls and minimum health - in otherwords when you having nothing to lose. Then just do suicide runs for everything you want. Definitely the easiest way.

Does covenant rank carry over to NG+? I've given 10 sunlight medals to the Sunbros, and I have 10 more. Just not sure if I should farm out the last 10 now or if I can collect some more in NG+.

So this NPC Phantom with a greatsword in front of the fog door
Huntsman's Copse
is decimating me even though I've handled most everything else in the area just fine. Is the game telling me to come back here later or do I just suck?

I got him! On the very next try. He split into two, they both did the sword lunge -> roll backwards -> flame swathe, he went from like 60% to 10%. Then I just dodged their next attacks (laser beam + fireballs) and finished off with a lowly fire orb.

So thats all bosses dead solo. Just a few things to do, material farming mostly and maybe do Sinner again with Bonfire Ascetics to get
Chaos Blade
, before NG+

Would I be underpowered going into
Huntsmans Copse
right after
Forest
?

So I remember hearings that Halberd sucks in this game compared to DS1, is that still the verdict?

In my opinion, which isn't worth a whole lot, it's vastly disappointing compared to its predecessor. Doesn't mean it's bad but I probably won't be using it again.

Nice! :) Fire is indeed quite effective against that boss.

what level did you guys have at the end of the game?

tryed the Abyss dungeons a couple of times and I get my shit pushed in..

Beat all three Sentinels without going off the initial edge.
Is that the hard way or right way? Was a little tricky.

There is a lock door on S
hrine
of A
mana
after you defeat the boss. Any clue where I could get the key for it?

Good tips thanks :D I feel my range is the issue, I swing hard but it's hard hit him sometimes. Also yeah falling off the edge kills me more times than he does lol

The drop rates in this game are awful. Whats the point on putting armor loot in enemies if those will end despawning forever? (yeah I know about the ascetic but is stupid to force people to play the NG+ variants just because the drop rate sucks).

Witches Domino Mask. 12 bonfire aesthetics, avarice ring +2 and rusted coins and not a single one. Wtf. If I wanted odds that bad I'd gamble in Vegas.
