Congrats!RRRRAAAAAGGGGGGHHHHHHHH
ADncientdefeated!!!!!!!!!!ragon
Cool, I have two pharros stones. Are all the equipment fairly straightforward to find,?
And by cheap upgrade you mean get the infinite shards and keep upgrading alonis?
I was considering this, but it's completely random what the crow gives you right?Small white soapstone->Get smooth and silky stones->Bring them to the nest->????->Profit.
Buy one from the blue sentinel's covenant guy
Okay cool, I guess I better hurry up and max level with the sunbros before abandoning. From the Blue Cathedral guy.
Join the Blue covenant, and then buy boltstone for 7k soul, abandon it if you want to.

Equip % seems to make a big difference with the distance of your roll. Honestly it doesn't seem like a huge deal.I'm going to drop my ADP to 20 and see how things go. I've also never been under 50% equip weight the entire time I've played, does that really make a huge difference?
Alright so i don't know what to do to beat this game.
Here are the last few things i've done:
I Feel like I've done just about everything and i don't know what to do next other than beat (what seems like) some optional bosses.Went through each giants memory
Killed vendrick
Found all bonfires
Tried out the abyss area

Yup, completely random
I found that rolling into attacks from the very start was the way to go. It always caused me to be hit less than if I was trying to dodge to the side or away.
Really? It was always the first thing I levelled up. The difference between being 2 shotted instead of 1-shotted, or 3-shotted instead of 2, is incredibly important.
i was confused the first few times against him too,Okay, I beat (bosses)today without too much trouble, but I can't beat the fucking (boss]Smelter Demon, Old Iron King, and Lost Sinnerfor shit. Whay am I doing wrong?Royal Rat Authority

Well:Go to the giant spider boss's arena and explore the memories of the dragon for an optional goodie, then go back to the Throne of Want. If you already beat a boss there, there should be a new one waiting for you. Oh and the bonfire chick will be at the beginning of the area to explain some things to you.
Side note: Vendrick was an optional boss.
yeah i do it too. the purists are always like "if you're having trouble managing health then don't get hit derp".

Quick question about beating the game.Does it bring you to NG+? Or can you free roam afterwards?

edit: out of humanity to boot.![]()
After Undead Crypt I completely lost the plot.I have the King's Ring so I'll try the king doors, of the two I can remember I try the Forest first. Nothing there as far as I can tell and the tree thing just repeats "Alas, nothing happened". So I try the other one I can remember, the King's Gate in Drangleic Castle. At least there's a boss fight there, but after beating them. Nothing. There appears to be a gate way over the chasm but I have no idea what I'm doing. I thought I was paying pretty close attention to the story, and I've talked to everyone. But right now the story basically ground to a halt for me.

Oh, if you're out of human effigiesThere's a place after the boss of the shrine of amana you can pray to become human again for free(ONLY if you have no effigies on you). It's next to one of the siren chicks.
AlsoThe queen becomes much easier if you try to lure her away from those curse proccing orbs she puts down and spam long range attacks

Probably overlooking something simple, but how do you tell what each status icon is (the small symbols underneath the stamina bar)?
Hit select and a menu pops up, tells you what stats mean.
More like resistance I'd think, except this time it's a stat mainly for rolling rather than the few instances you have a serious poison issue, so a bit ahead (if not a lot depending on build.)its not like From hasnt done something like this before
remember the Pendant
it turned out to be useless too
Yep, helped me a lot for poking around post-game, otherwise I'd have been in NG+ immediately. You spawn back in Majula and you can do whatever. There's an option to start that at the bonfire whenever you want.
thanks for the tips man, trying it now. I knew that you couldI think i just need to keep at it but thedestroy the cure things, but she usually hits me when I try and I et cursed pretty quicklyis killing me.walk
edit:
also fuck, having to put the ring of the king on every time I face her is so lame, why can't the door just stay open?
you just need to the king ring on to open the door, then just take it off.
also if you go back to the old ladies at the start of the game, talk to the one who will let you respec and she'll give you 6 effigies.
also use the ring of life protection and keep repairing it for 3000 souls, cuz if you die with the ring on it keeps your humanity.
Right, but he states that's more feasible with higher Agility. Rolling into attacks with low Agility has a greater chance of causing you to be hit mid-roll.
I personally always roll-dodge into enemy attacks in Souls games (unless it's an AoE explosion or something like that), because that's simply more effective when it comes to landing an attack afterwards. I knew I noticed something off when I started with Swordsman - who with his 6 in ATN and 6 in ADP has pretty low Agility at the start - and I was getting hit with attacks from basic hollows mid-roll when I should have been dodging them.
My ADP stat is at 30 right now - Agility at 103 - and I do think that's too high. The sweet spot seems to be ~95 Agility for the way I like to play, so I'm going to respec and balance that out.
I think that video uploader found a solid middle-ground in his outlook on Agility. He clearly states in the comments that it's been over-valued, but he also says (and to some degree shows) that it has a useful effect on roll-dodging, and that after a certain point that value drops tremendously (no different to many other stats).

Just destroy the orbs, then she's a cake walk
Some peeps have wicked mad magic attacks that kinda ruin boss fights when you summon them. :/
man. Second bonfire. Middle path. You're welcome.Shaded woods
They're just trying to help ; _ ;
Maybe the anti-magic field works like it does in Dark Souls 1 and prevents your summons from casting as well :v
Thanks. Completely forgot about that one.

Raising ADP rasies the speed of drinking estus flask and using items, not roll speed.I'd need to see some real hard evidence against ADP, because my experience as a no shield character has been high ADP = live, low ADP = die. The roll is like the DS1 roll instead of the pathetically low on i-frames default DS2 roll.
