PlayStation Network Thread (Vita/PS3/PS4) | March 2014

I've never had a problem on my iPhone 5. It loads much faster than the Vita does at least.

Yeah, I don't think Sony is ever going to fix that. PS3 is last-gen.

guess I'm not alone..
I've been getting friend requests... and I have no idea who some people are... what do you guys suggest is the best way to manage that? (delete everyone and start again? lol)

EDIT:
Buy SteamWorld Dig
Buy Luftrausers

My first impressions of Nun Attack and Age of Zombies:
Nun Attack's gameplay is really simple, but not in a good way. The battles are uninteresting and there are stages in between where you just have to run, which are totally boring. They shouldn't have bothered with these stages and just have the battle stages, which wouldn't be so bad if I wouldn't dislike the controls. You have to draw a line for the nuns to attack or to move, it should have just been point and click.
The presentation was ok though and I like the humour.

The sale price of 79 cents with PS+ fits, this game feels like 'mobile crap' but I don't think it is a good mobile game.

I liked the Age of Zombies PS Minis version even though it is just a mindless twinstick arena shooter. The Vita version adds actual twin stick controls which are nice and also upgrades the graphics. It is just that I actually like the old look more, especially the original Barry Steakfries design.
The humour is like in other Halfbrick games, funny and good.

I can recommend it if you want to play a simple shooter but don't expect any depth in the gameplay. It's really just running and gunning zombie hordes.

can someone tell me how to backup saves on PS4? I have a usb stick in the front slots of the system but it's not registering. The only game I've needed it so far with is dead nation (that ties you to one save file at all times, so stupid) but i guess ill need it if i get a bigger HDD. Help me GAF please.

5500 is dividable by 250, 250ppp peasant.

Lol. Just lol. There isn't anything I could say to improve that comment. Pure gold.

Played some Tomb Raider: Anniversary on my Vita. Everything was going good until I reached an open area. My reactions were and WTF? There are
velociraptors
in that game? And what the hell was Lara thinking when she
saw a fucking T-Rex and decided the smartest thing was to fight him?

Mindblown lol.

There's an option in the Settings menu (second to last option on the right) called Application Saved Data Management. Select Saved Data in System Storage, then Copy to USB Storage Device.

Hope this helps!

I found out how to do it. Caution: not all USB sticks work. Now I wonder how to get that file back on my system.

I like how PS3 did it MUCH better.

Why not just use the online storage that PS + provides?

And why doesn't PS4 ask u at the beginning of the game if you wanted to save your data or just do it on its own if you are a plus subscriber like ps3 I didn't find that out until the extremely buggy dead nation ps4 corrupted all my save file data (had full armor and loot) (also the game ties you to one save file, in 2014, WTF!?!). Also, unlike the PS3, only certain USB sticks work with ps4 as I found out in this video and my own personal experience:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5QlwHrL9M80

My PS3 could use all my USB sticks. Again PS3 did it better IMHO.

Looking for a quick pick up and play game for Vita.

OlliOlli or Luftrausers?

Also suuuuper excited for Fez. Been waiting for two years!

htol#niq looks real tempting but ~$75 to import an LE of a $30 downloadable title which only includes the bog standard artbook/CD is not so justifiable. Wish there was gameplay footage and any idea of how story driven (and importable) it'll be. Didn't that Madoka game get -released- without any real released footage (beyond that one deleted stream)? Did we have some sort of policy on Xbox 360 to thank the original worldwide release of Phantom Breaker Battlegrounds to explain it's absence from the US PSN?

Destiny of Spirits comes out in 2 days but I don't know if I can stomach another energy bar game right now.
I hope Murasaki Baby isn't vaporware.

I own OlliOlli and it's great. I love how you can instantly retry.. Quick reload in arcade games is a big deal to me.

I'm not sure about Luftrausers. I plan on getting it.
VitaGaf seems to love it.

You guy's weren't kidding when saying SteamWorld Dig and Luftrausers are great games; I'm having a blast with them :).

I just got SteamWorld Dig and Lufrausers a few hours ago and was shocked to find that I spent almost hour with SteamWorld without noticing; a rare thing with games... SteamWorld for those who are on the fence about getting it is Metroid, Minecraft and Spunky mixed together in a western theme; you play as a robot miner and have to dig miles and miles underground, collecting all kinds of new gadgets to make you dig through the ground faster, with the main goal being upgrading your town by getting more money into the town via gems. Its a ton of fun and I just started playing the game :), for its current PS+ 8 dollar price, its a wonderful game.

As for Lufrausers...its just soo good man! The controls take a bit to get used to but once you get a grip on the controls, the game is just...so wonderful; you can just crash into rows of planes and boats (as you recover health faster when you don't shoot), fly high into the air, and just shot massive bullets at the other planes. The game's retro graphics look cool, the music is great, and the gameplay is wonderful with the Vita's killer D-Pad. Its is a must buy at its 8 dollar price point :).

Its great Sony is continuing to get great indie content across the PS3, PS4, and Vita with great games like these :).

Guys, I need some help. I've been trying to download some games unto my PSVita, but I keep getting a C0-10932-5 error saying that it could not download. I've even tried downloading it on my PS3 and transferring. It downloads fine, but when I try to transfer, the same error pops up. What's worse is that the error only pops up at the end of the download/transfer, wasting both my time and bandwidth.

This is a problem that first happened a few months ago with the Walking Dead, and now with Valkyria Chronicles 2. I can download smaller games (500MB or less) fine, but larger games like VC2 or TWD have this error show up. I've looked online for a solution, but couldn't find anything useful. I tried changing DNS settings to no avail. I've spent so much time trying to fix this that I'm at my wits end.

Is there anyone here who knows how to fix this?

I had something like this happen to one of the games I got for Vita (Stardrone Extreme) and after I got the error, Sony sent a PSN message to my PS3 giving me another code to redeem (supposedly fixing the broken download link), but it still didn't work. After about...3 months, the game started working again. I don't know if that is your problem or not, but your situation sounded similar to the one I had, so I hope this helps.

But you should really contact Sony and tell them your problem, as they might send you the proper code via PSN Message (you must own a PS3, as VC2 is only playable on Vita via transfer), giving you the proper download code to the game or even a refund (giving you the chance to buy the game again, with this time hopefully working).

Yeah, I was hoping this was a problem that would sort itself out over time back when I first encountered it with The Walking Dead, but it seems like I will have to call Sony for some help. It's just that I hate having to be put on hold for 30 or so minutes.

And yeah, I'm transferring VC2 via the PS3.

They didn't send you the fixing code for Vita Walking Dead? ...That is really odd, as after within the first week Sony sent me the proper download link for my game. I know how you feel about Sony's customer service...hated using Sony Rewards CS for a whole dam month just to get 10$ PSN Credit :(....

Hope everything works out for you; sucks not being able to play two great games :(.

Couldn't install Luftrausers just the other day but a simple restart of my Vita did the trick.
Maybe you could try to rebuild your database. Start the Vita into recovery mode by pressing power+ps button+R or hold the power button for a long time when youstart the device.

No, I haven't contacted them yet. I mean when I first had the problem with TWD, I just left it hoping it would work a few weeks/months down the line, but it hasn't. So I'll have to contact Sony for both TWD and VC2.

Oh, but if anyone has any ideas, please do tell. I'd rather not call Sony.

Yeah, I tried this. No luck.

This really sucks. I had a sudden urge to play VC2, and this happens. I guess I can bust out my PSP, but I really wanted to play it on my Vita. I'm so glad I didn't buy PDf, since I probably wouldn't have been able to download and play it. But still, that's $15 wasted if I can't resolve this issue.

completed thomas was alone. neat little game. definitely had to use some creative thinking/stacking/bumping in some areas.

the story started losing me...I was in and out. had to go on wikipedia to actually understand what the hell was going on. maybe i just overlooked some key moments.

nice music. good design / art direction.

what game should i start next? tomb raider or bioshock infinite? - still without my vita :( airline is making it such a hassle to claim a refund for losing my bag 2 months ago.

I am quite sure that Battle Phatasma has gameplay footage (that ain't a stream) in one of the PVs.

I had a very similar experience with TWA... About half way through, I almost totally lost touch with the narrative which (strangely) coincided with the game hitting its stride.

Loved the art direction (like you say) and music, loved the "sound" of the narrator (even if I switched off) and loved the pacing of the latter sections of the game.

Sounds really awesome, looking forward to it. Basically a puzzle platformer I think.

Luftrausers tbh, even though you will die, less frustration. OlliOlli, while satisfying, has a steeper learning curve to get to that satisfaction and as a game to jump into quickly, I feel luftrausers edges it. I sometimes feel OO is brutal with input requirements, good game to pick up eventually though.

That fucking sucks man :\ Sorry to hear that. All I can say is keep calling, that's what I'm doing with my PSN troubles.

It's getting me nowhere, but I mean still.

Spending what should be exclusively food money :P Or part-time job? Depends how badly you need to buy games on release dates for the full price. I myself wait for sales for anything I don't absolutely need

fair enough. haha I'm already spending food money T_T haha and school commitments pretty much cancels out any time for part-time jobs

Guys a question, isn't Resogun still free when you subscribe for Plus? (looked around and people say it is)

Because i got the 14 days free trial but i see it as a 14,99€ download :/

You say lol but Second Son on remote play is fucking amazing. It controls well and runs super amazing. I don't even feel any input lag. At all. So smooth. The vast majority of my playtime of Second Son has been on Vita.
But dem grafix tho

I was tempted to remote play infamous but decided I wanted to enjoy those 1080p graphics on my 65" TV.

Maybe when I'm just collectible hunting I'll do it.

If I were to import a vita slim, where would be my best options in terms of price, delivery time, etc.?

I did a "mock" on nippon-yasan, and it says that FedEx can deliver it in 2-3 days. Is this true? Thanks!

I completely understand where you're coming from. When you turn on saved data uploading from the Settings menu, however, it uploads saved data for all the games you have played, some as soon as 5 minutes after you finish playing! The only game I haven't seen that happen with is Skylanders, but that may be because of the 2 save files that game has, or some bullshit restriction Activision put on the save data for that game. It's a lot more convenient than having to choose to upload saved data on a game by game basis IMO (my PS3 died before Plus was introduced, so I don't know how saved data uploads work on that system).

I worked a weekend job but also had quite a bit saved up. What I would do is be very selective with my purchases and then make them last as long as possible. I graduated last spring fyi.
