Dark Souls II |OT2| Prepare to Vengarl

I'm sorry, but can someone tell me how I've been labeled as "guilty" when I've never invaded anyone as a red phantom? Getting invaded every thirty seconds by blue phantoms that have every spell, enchantment, and weapon gimmick capable of two-shotting me is making NG+ a real fucking chore.
Did you kill an NPC? Sin carries over from NG to NG+.

Need 5 more sunmedals, what's the best place for co-op around level 130?
I did about 17 medals at
Guardian Dragon
when I was 140'ish or so.

Never said it was any good or not (seemed alright to me), just that some people may want to get it as fast as possible, haha.

Lol, just discussing the weapon is all. It's definitely great when you get it, it was almost like getting the drake sword in DS1. However the moveset isn't great and it weighs a little too much for my liking.

Knew the Ballista Shan was there, but could never get it to work - ended up going to Heide's Tower of Flame instead, beating stuff there, and coming back with better stats and weapons. Then beat him in 2 goes!

I took it raw in the ass right after defeating the first boss. I finally killed the bastard after 10 or so attempts. The last thrust through his back felt so SATISFYING.

I'm tired of my Bastard Sword. Haven't upgraded it even though I have 18 Titanite chunks. What other good weapons are worth using after
Ruins Sentinels
? I have 20 Str and 18 Dex.

Well, that settles that, I found out tonight that I'm half the man I thought I was... The
Ancient Dragon
can go fuck itself.

What's with the
dude in the wheelchair
? I've seen him twice now and I assume I need to see him once more to activate some kind of event? How do I get to him in
Shaded Woods
?

Where is the Claymore? I found the Claymore a little bit slow in the first game. What are the stats requirements and scaling?
20 str and 13 dex, both C scaling.
Just stumbled upon it yesterday (
Vengarl is selling it
), which made me super happy: it was my favorite weapon in DS1.
Haven't had the time to try it out though, hope it holds on to what it was before: a heavy weapon with a godlike heavy button. <3

Did you kill an NPC? Sin carries over from NG to NG+.

Of course I did. It's tradition to murder every NPC before starting NG+. That's super disappointing that that marks you as guilty, though. I guess it's time to finally start playing Titanfall because getting perpetually gangbanged by blue phantoms is impossible and playing offline doesn't interest me.

Its a very quick weapon for a great sword. with wide sweeping R1 attacks. Great for mobs.
the R2 is a awesome thrust attack. Double handing thrust attack usually gives you time to get in a second R2 attack.

I infused with a bolt stone. dex goes down to a D Scaling but lightning jumps up to a c or b.
Its my favourite weapon. much prefer it then the one in Dark souls 1

Yeah, the thrust attack was, for me, the best attack in DS1. It's one of the only heavy move that reaches so far, and that you can use in any situation, like a small corridor or under a low ceiling.
Happy to hear the weapon is still good in the sequel!

I saw this on a speedrun, dude parried his first attack to get the time to run and fire off the crossbolt. I knew you could use them, but didn't know how much damage they did. Guess it's easiest in co-op.
Tried this boss yesterday: in co-op, the bolts don't do nearly the same damage at all (they do like ~20%). Also, you risk killing your phantoms by mistake while they are busy trying to keep him in place.
Which I did.
And then the boss killed me.

:)

You just need to aim properly and wait for the right moment to launch the bolts. If you hit all 3 bolts you will deal 50+% of the boss's HP.

I hear ya. The only NPC I killed was
Licia just to get the miracle she drops. She's labeled as a traitor and the game basically tell you to invade her and kill her, yet it still gives sin.
Pretty shitty.

I'm having trouble keeping the NPC alive during that Iron Keep boss. :(

I'm only on NG still but obviously I'm just not good enough lol. Is it even possible to keep her alive?

Kinda f**ked up that achievement because I've already killed the Pirate place boss and the Stinky underground poison place boss without her. :(

Apparently you don't have to keep her alive on seperate battles, but on 3 battles in total. So you can do Flexile and Rotten, and bonfire ascetic one of those bonfires (preferably Rotten, since the fire is super close and the boss is easy). That way, you can ignore Lost Sinner and Smelter. Yesterday I beat Rotten twice with her. Should get the trophy now.

From TA:

"This achievement requires completing Lucatiel of Mirrah's questline and summoning her to three boss battles which she must survive. These boss battles can be done across multiple playthroughs and/or can be done with the same boss, even with the use of a bonfire ascetic to replay a single boss on the same playthrough three times."

This also works with Benhart.

Go up top, past where you turn left to go to the boss. There's a hidden pit you can fall into.

How is this game if I only played Demon's Souls?
Skipped Dark Souls
Want to jump back in but don't know if I should wait for a PS4 version

Alright who the neck are the 4 "giant" souls that the Herald refers to? My friend is at the Shrine of Amana without having beaten Freja.

Played a good 4 hours this weekend I'm at the
3 sentinels bosses in Lost Bastille
There is a lot more boss in this game than DS .

And is it me or
The Dragon Rider boss in Heide Tower was a total push over?

Thank you for that advice, so even after using an ascetic and making them 'harder' you reckon Rotten or the pirate one is perfectly 'doable' a 2nd or third time?

I'm having zero luck with Smelter even on NG lol, I actually beat Sinner with her alive still so that is one down. Just need two now.

I believe you need to kill 4 of The Last Giant, The Lost Sinner, The Rotten, The Iron King and Freja. So you can skip one.

Never had to worry about smelter. Summoned two people and nuked him from afar with lightning. I actually never knew he is "hard" lol, didn't get hit once.

The main problem is keeping the NPC summon alive against him. I lost my chance for a trophy cuz she died right before I killed him.

why take your chances with smelter? you have 4 boss fights available where you can summon her and only need to keep her alive for 3 fights, so you can skip smelter. all others are vastly easier to keep her alive.

also, people that summon 2 players for bosses for the first run are kinda huge, huge casuls.

Cuz I didn't know about the trophy when I started playing and didn't summon her for the No Man's Wharf fight.

I don't think summoning 2 guys makes them "casuls". It's just more fun with more people. Aren't bosses supposed to get harder the more guys you summon? If we're gonna is use that metric, then the best players should play solo with SL1 to prove they're truly hardcore.

you could use bonfire astetics and do the same boss again with her if you missed one or she died on one of the other three.
Just be careful that the bosses will be harder and the mobs in the area.

FUCK I haven't had any problems with the hit detection in 40 hours but now for some reason
the Rotten
is giving me a hard time. It feels so inconsistent, sometimes I dodge through his right hand, most of the time I do not.

I may do that or just start a new character once I finish the main game.

You can actually cut his arm off.

Tried (Earthen Peak boss)
Mytha for about 2 hours yesterday before giving up... Went to the guide and realized that I don't have to deal with the poison after all. Beat her on my first try after that.

I'm not sure how I feel about this, haha.
