woah, i think you just caught some major plot inconsistencies!

Beast has a way of temporarily hiding his Beast form unless he loses control. It also explains why you see human Hank McCoy being interviewed in X2. As for Xavier standing, it's probably in their mind, or he's being held up or something.

Ok, but he was never in non beast form in First Class or X3 unless Singer is just retconning every film he didn't direct.

What about Xavier?

HYPE!

that was awesome. SOOO HAPPY Singer is back at the Helm...

What was the thing shooting a beam from its face at the end? Thats not a sentinel is it?

...uhhhh what? He was in non-Beast form for about 9/10ths of First Class and didn't turn blue until the end, and even then, that was only a result of fucking with his DNA by use of Mystique's blood or something. He's apparently developed his temporary solution since the end of that movie. And by X3, he was openly a mutant affairs advisor or something in the government. He probably didn't feel he had to hide his mutant side by that point.

And again, Xavier is probably standing in just a dream or on some mental plane of existence. He's done that before.

Probably an image inducer, like Nightcrawler used to use in the comics.

I'm more hyped for this than anything in the MCU.

I can't get over how utterly over-fucking-rated some of those Marvel movies are (want to talk about REAL hot garbage? Let's talk
Thor: The Dark World
...fucking YUCK!)

People seem to forget that X2 is one of the best comic book films of all-time, and this looks to be on par with that one.

I bet Xavier is using his mind powers to walk because his ego to blend in is the same as in first class.

He will then learn that his powers are weaken if he use half of it just to "levitate" his legs.... so he acepts that he can't walk and acepts the wheelchair

Or...you know, opinions.

Thor 2
is nowhere near as trashy as some of the turds the X-Men franchise has put out.

I'd be perfectly okay with this. It ties in directly with his teachings, after all - acceptance of one's self and each other.

That tried too hard to be all kinds of dramatic without really showing anything interesting. I'm hoping for the best, though.

As much as I love the classic purple designs, I actually like the new look.

I like the idea that at some point, (presumably) Master Mold took over and the sentinels were no longer designed with human sensibilities and instead were being created by an AI for pure mechanical murderous efficiency. I think the future designs are a way smarter approach rather than the sentinels just looking the same but with slightly sleeker armor.

Damn that looked pretty good. Still think this will end up the best superhero movie of the year -- and that's not a knock on the others (except maybe Spider-Man :lol).

Hank wasn't in Beast form until near the end of First Class.

Beast being human here and Xavier walking are apparently just temporary fixes that can come and go.

I've enjoyed the X-Men films much more than any of the MCU crap. Imo The Avengers was the only one worth a crap and that movie was just "okay". Capn America 2 and Guardians of the Galaxy look like they could be a good time though.

I think that's Sunspot. Although, that character design doesn't look like the one I'm familiar with in the comics (1990s). He could look different now.
Sunspot? Ah. I wish they would have used his New Mutants design

Who was the last person/robot/mutant in the final shot of the trailer? Looked like the Destroyer Armor from Thor.

Well I gotta admit that was a really nice trailer. Fassbender looks so awesome as Magneto, just give me a Magneto movie, fuck everyone else.

do we have any ratio of past and future portion of story? can't help thinking the future stuff is probably just the first 20 minutes or something and the rest of the stuff is all in the past. unless they're going for the changing the past and it affect the future thing, which usually lead to massive headache and plotholes. so I'm kinda wary about this.

Ok have to admit, that was a sick trailer, especially compared to the clusterfuck that was the first one.

If I recall, it's something like 70-30 in favor of First Class timeline.

Can't wait, looks great. This plus Captain America and Spiderman 2 will make my summer movie experience complete.

I'd guess the former. I think Singer suggested as much.

Not mentioning GotG makes me sad :C

Also I am not sure what everyone's seeing in this. But then I never liked the Singer X-Men films anyway, so *shrug*

Hope it turns out decent for all y'all

Oh come on.
Thor 2
is nowhere near as trashy as some of the turds the X-Men franchise has put out.

Thor 2 was absolutely aimless and utterly boring. The only redeeming factor in that film was Hiddleston. He revels in playing Loki, and it shows. Everyone else there looks bored as shit, ESPECIALLY Natalie Portman. The stuff with her and Kat Dennings was just atrocious. Whenever Hiddleston was onscreen, I sat up and paid attention.

The MacGuffin in that movie was cliche to the core, the villain easily the most forgettable to ever be put into a comic book movie; the whole movie was nonsensical and derivative. What, exactly, did Thor 2 accomplish beyond put "Super evil dude up against Thor because he wanted the super powerful fruit punch"? The first Thor was way, way better.

I'd go so far as to put X-Men The Last Stand over some of the weakest MCU films, especially Thor 2.

The two worst X-Men films were The Last Stand and Origins Wolverine (which can be excised completely from "canon" and isn't an actual "X-Men" film). The first X-Men ushered in a new era of comic book adapted films, the era we live in now. X2 stands as one of the best. X-Men First Class was stellar, and The Wolverine was as good as we're likely going to get from a standalone film about that character.

Bryan Singer has returned to the franchise he started (and along with Tim Burton and Richard Donner we can count him among the pioneers of modern comic book films)...there's no reason to believe this will be utter shit.

At the very least, it'll be a good movie. I, however, am expecting great things.

The future stuff is about 25-30% of the movie.

very ambitious looking flick. I fear the worst has of the number of actors and plot lines... Love how J.law is half of the shot of this trailer.

Terrible poster.

Poster is terrible, trailer is great. Going to watch it. Coz of Ellen Page and future Sentinels.

Thor 2 is considered to be bad? Thought it was a really enjoyable movie... Well. If Thor 2 is bad, I cannot imagine what Wolverine Origin is supposed to be or X-Men 3...

Okay, that was pretty awesome. Having Singer back has me excited, but they are still tackling one of the most revered X-Men stories ever, and have tons of characters to work with in the movie, so that makes me a bit more hesitant.
But if Singer delivers something anywhere near as awesome as X2 was, I will be very happy.

Also nice to see John Ottman coming back with Singer. And with Newton Thomas Sigel back as the cinematographer, the movie should look really nice as well. But Simon Kinberg writing? Ehhhh.

Gotta lure in that Hunger Games crowd!

Pretty nice trailer. They're keeping their cards about the story pretty close to the chest, which is a good idea. People who aren't as familiar with DoFP will probably be in for some pleasant/entertaining surprises.
