Wow. I just finished Limbo for the first time (dat PS+ discount). What a beautiful little game. I really didn't expect it to be as polished as it is.

Got all the trophies except the one for playing the game in one sitting with less than 5 deaths. I'll try that tomorrow.

What I said there is that you should give a try to DWNext if you have it due to PS+ (it was a EU freebie, dunno about US). Dynasty Warriors is not for everyone, sure, but probably for that reason reviewers are usually quite harsh with them. It's better than the 65 that they usually get on Meta imo.

I personally like your posts. And I understand that Metacritic is one of your sources of information. People can rant, but you can't go blind and simply buy games unless you have a lot of money or you know it's going to be totally incredible (I think I'm going to do a Persona 5 media black-out, but that's because Persona Team track record is like totally awesome for example). I think it's a perfect viable option as long as you don't limit your opinions to Metacritic (getting a bit more of info for other places).

Wow, I actually have beat the first chapter of WD on my Vita and never noticed that. Probably because i'm actually having to touch the screen and play the game is why I didn't notice.

This is the first idea to get out of your head. It's not really unfair at all. It's tightly designed, and it knows very well how to give you an "out" in a situation. Yes, the mousetrap like "Hit by one thing, and then another...and then another... and then DEATH!" situation happens, but it's generally due to the player being unobservant and rushing at a breakneck pace, without understanding the rules of the game.

Spelunky is one of those games I bought on sale, played for 15 minutes, and didn't really like because I thought I could never be good at it. Then I played for a bit longer cause, god damn it, I won't let this game win. Fast forward to today and I have sunk countless hours into the game, and can always see noticeable improvement over time. I started not being able to make it to the jungle, and kept going until I finally beat Olmec. Then I started trying for Speedlunky and for the life of me I could not beat the game without farming money for items. A week later, I got the trophy and I can easily get to Olmec on most random playthrus. Currently working on Hell, and while it feels like I will never be able to do it, I am sure I will eventually. You feel like it is hard and unfair and you suck, but eventually you get better and it is so incredibly satisfying. Getting speedlunky is the happiest I have ever been getting a single non platinum trophy.

All that said, the ONE aspect of the game I find to be unfair is that if enemies attack a shopkeeper a thousand miles away from you he decides it is all your fault and marks you a terrorist. Had a few speed run attempts ruined because a spitting snake happened to spawn on the same level as a shopkeeper. Oh and dark levels when you are doing a speed run are pretty unfair too. The wiki says if you finish a level in under 30 seconds, the next one won't be dark, but I have definitely finished levels in 15 seconds and still gotten a dark level next.

Oh my God, I wish I had not seen this post. I recently got a pretty decent bonus and I'm getting Evil Thoughts about buying a PS4 and inFamous Second Son. But I told myself I would hold off until there were a lot more games I was interested in on the platform and I have stuff around the my house that needs fixing.

Hnnnnggggg... But then again purchasing a PS4 would justify my Vita purchase even more... right???

Vita's raw power maybe enough to run PS2 game that ported specifically for it like P4G, but I don't think it's strong enough to emulate PS2.

It isn't. Due to the overhead of emulating ps2 isn't possible on the vita. PS2 ports are another thing though.

I hate the Murphy level's in Rayman Legends. Simply because of the fact they make it impossible to go back a segment if you miss a creature to free, the checkpoints in it are spotty and oddly annoying. If I die in a hidden room, I am taken to the place outside. Why?

Game looks gorgeous, love the new art style. I just wish it was more pure of platformer and/or they made these touch levels less annoying and have the ability to backtrack better

You're fine, it's all tied to your account. I got ps+ stuff for vita before ever buying one and once I got one I was able to go to my download history and grab the all.

My PDP Grips finally got here after a month, and so far all it did was change the way my hand cramps. I like the triggers and it's nice that I don't have to touch the back screen while holding it anymore, but the slippery texture makes it hard to use the right analog. Not a problem for Luftrausers but Toukiden was torture.

I hope I can get used to it... A Nyko grip would take even longer to get here.
