I hope Colossus gets more screen time in this movie.

Can someone please explain the timeline to me?
At the end of Wolverine we meet Magneto and Xavier. They say they need help because some crazy shit is going down. Wolverine is obviously set in current times.
Cut to Days of Future Past and the future time line looks like it's another 20 or so years on from the Wolverine movie. How long after The Wolverine movie is the DoFP future timeline meant to be?

That Wolverine scene takes place 2 years after the end of the movie, and DofP is probably 5-10 years after that.

Looks pretty good. Singer seems to have up his action capability, though those future hangar battle shots look kinda cheap. Godzilla is still the May film to beat for me.

yeah pretty much. it all comes down to personal preference. you can have very large faithfulness to the comics or a more interesting story. it feels like fox or marvel can't do both though. it's one or the other.
marvel's been leaning towards the former for all of it's properties (especially mediocre ass Thor series). and while iron man 3 had some clunky ass story ideas it also had this...uniqueness that made it the best MCU film for me.
Cap 2 looks to be the better action film though and props for bringing in Redford. But I don't see IM3 being topped until at least Guardians of the Galaxy (and if not that then Ant Man will dethrone all)

Yeaaah they've had the same hideous color scheme and basic shape for decades I know the look is supposed to be "iconic' or something but that doesn't stop it from being ugly.

I think they're keeping that one up the sleeve. What I get from this movie is that the mutant-human conflict escalated into all out war with Sentinels running the frontlines for the human side, forcing Magneto and Xavier to work together in hopes of survival of mutant-kind. They send Wolverine back in time to stop the Sentinels from ever being made, ie stop Trask and his anti-mutant agenda. That alone is enough to fill a movie with. I think Master Mold could be a logical next step for Trask after being stopped in this movie.
The Magneto's/Xavier's will have some great scenes in this movie it seems. Jackman looks like he's still playing Wolverine well. Blink, Pyro, and Iceman look great too. Future Sentinel looks pretty intimidating/scary, which is what it needs.
Pretty hyped, just hope the shittier characters don't get in the way. Scared of Mystique sucking again.

This jz why they should have done a two part movie instead of moving straight to Age of Apocalypse.
As much as I want AoA, I feel not having Mater Mold be a big part of the movie isnt doing the story justice.

Isn't there a story-arc in the comics where Master Mold is programmed to create Sentinels which hunt specifically for the Horsemen? It could happen after Apocalypse.
Didn't a singularity occur where
the Sentinels turned on the Humans on orders from Master Mold?

They couldn't seriously be thinking of releasing this film without a poster based on this? It's one of the most well known comic book covers ever, and it's what the film is based on. Better than "random cast members floating above a city with an explosion".

Not only is it blue and orange, it also has a man holding a weapon AND a woman's butt facing the viewer. It's a Class-A movie poster that cannot be criticised.
Actually, they should all give up and just use the classic Star Wars posters for their movies. Just license them from Disney for a modest fee and save yourself all this photoshop/bad poster embarrassment.
