Quicksilver

I deserve all kinds of shame, but since they made these announcements I had Quicksilver confused with Havok. Man, Havok would be rad.

I was going to say why did they pick quicksilver out of all the Avengers they could have, but then I looked at who was in the avengers. Bunch of super lame characters.

wait what?

Not saying every Avenger is a Cap or a Thor, but there are more them than there are Deathcrys and Dr.Druids.

Really? A runner that has powerful looking legs scares you. And you think is torso is small?
Yes and yes because the guy doesn't exactly look like a runner. He looks more like a guy who skipped torso day but not leg day. I'm comparing him to runners like Usain Bolt: http://marathonsweetheart.files.wordpress.com/2011/01/usainbolt.jpg

Dude runs around at the speed of sound.
I know runners are supposed to have big quads but either its the costume or his proportions seem off. Whatever the case, I bet they'll modify him post production.

I have an oddball feeling that QuickSinger is going to surprise us in a very good way.

I'm interested in seeing the two different depictions of his super speed. Between those two and The Flash TV show, it's speedster time in the next two years.

Avengers' suite makes more sense for a guy that runs really fast. I just hope that they fix his wig in postproduction, because right now it looks ridiculous. Why couldn't they simply dye his hair?

DoFP Quicksilver looks stupid, but I will wait with final judgment until I see him on screen. With proper attitude, the way of talking and moving, the design can work. I'm sure the decision to give him such a weird design was made consciously, otherwise he would be yet another guy in black leather suite.

Your point? Maybe it's just me but i find his legs to be much more proportioned to the rest of his body. I don't know, maybe i should see him in running shorts but they look too big to me in those pictures.

I'm trying to figure out what your point is. A fast runner's legs are too big?

But then you say his legs are "much more proportioned" to his body.

His legs are fine.

No i mean that the legs in the picture you posted were much more proportioned to the body than Quicksilver's. And yes, there is such a thing as having legs too big for running at a good level.

Well good thing this guy isn't training to be an olympian but is instead a mutant with superhuman abilities, so he doesn't need to conform to actual physique since his entire abilities is predicated on make believe.

Johnson's legs are proportioned almost exactly the same as that runner's. Beside the fact that someone with fast-twitch muscle fibers will have larger legs, Quicksilver is a mutant.

I really don't see any reasoning behind your complaint other than aesthetic preference. It might be a first for someone thinking a person is too muscular/big for playing a supernatural character with strong physical attributes. ;)

the hell?
What is there not to understand? Aaron looks much buffer than in Kick-Ass, where he was pretty muscular. Now with bigger quads, chest and arms. And he's married to the director Sam Taylor-Johnson, who already has two children, which turns him into a (step-)dad. Therefore a DILF.

So sorry that he doesn't confirm to the ottermode aesthetic that you seemingly prefer.

It's not really a complaint because i don't really care about how he looks (as is the case with most superheroes), i was just saying that doesn't look like a sprinter's body to me.

Someone needs to hunt down that comic page where Wasp is explaining Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch's incestual love to Captain America like he's a four year old

How can Disney and Fox have Quicksilver and have them look totally different? Its like there are two wholly different universes with the same characters. That's ridiculous and certainly unprecedented in the comic world >:O

The concept art was better, hopefully he gets a better costume later on in the movie. His black roots still bug me though.

Soairse Ronan would have been a perfect as Scarlet Witch, although Olsen looks better than expected.
