Super Smash Bros. for 3DS & Wii U Thread 6: Final Destination confirmed for not fun

Okay, so I've been lurking these threads for a while, I feel compelled to give my series ranking:

In general:
1. Project M
2. Brawl
3. Melee
4. 64

However, these can all change at any given time of the day aside from Project M being above Brawl, because I would pick PM over Brawl every single time. Honestly I'd probably choose PM over Melee any time as well. It's basically the same game as Brawl but with a better engine, slightly bigger cast (including my favorite character to play as in the entire series Roy), and better options/stages as well. I just can't understand most anti-Project M people (though I still respect your opinions, I just don't quite understand them) and that's coming from someone who was against Brawl mods for a long time, it's simple to set up and makes the game better for basically everyone.

I'll say right now that I'm not a competitive player so things like no Wavedashing or L-Canceling in Brawl didn't bother me, my execution when it comes to those things is not consistent enough for me to bother using them. Even tripping I thought was dumb but it didn't bother me too often because it never really seemed to matter enough to affect the outcome of an entire game. My biggest issue with Brawl is the lack of hitstun, it made playing the game just feel less fluid than Melee. However, I greatly prefer Brawl's cast and content to Melee's. In terms of stages both games are about even to me. Melee also might be a little too fast for my taste at times. I think Project M is a good balance between the two.

Smash 64 is basically its own entire separate thing to me. It "feels" a lot different to play than the other games in the series to me, controls somewhat differently, etc. I love the sound affects, the speed of the game, and how it feels to hit an opponent in 64, though I prefer the more versatile movesets in later games. However, the small cast, stage selection, etc. put the game in the bottom spot to me. I'd love to see a version of Smash 64 that's basically the same game but with more characters and stages added in, I feel like a game like that could potentially be up there with Project M as my favorite game in the series.

Why is Project M listed?

Loser to wear this avatar?

The Ice Climbers are coming tonight, nobody is taking their spot! We'll all be satisfied no matter what. Mwuahaha!

Oh man... Can we make the bat wear one of the Ice Climber hoods? I don't think I have the Photoshop skills to do that, but that would be perfect 0.0

I think this photo may help

Haha. NOT TONIGHT HEATH! YOU CAN'T BRING ME DOWN!! I'll show all of you up!! All you NON BELIEVERS!

Come on. An avatar that is was used before? Heath pls

HAHAHA, NO! I was trying to find an excuse to post batty avatar again but you don't have to use it anyway. :P

Intelliheath is putting his flawless betting record on the line!

(or not)

Not today. My spider sense is broken

I'm confident Smash 3DS will be my best Smash for portability alone.

Go on, troll me.

I agree, having the oportunity to play smash on my Wii U at home and on my 3DS anywhere else is going to completly kill any social activity I have, oh well.

because it plays just like Smash?

It's a mod of Brawl... of course it does. However, I don't see why it's being compared to actual games in the series. There are plenty of community advocated and accepted mods of the smash games, too, so leaving the others out in favor of PM makes it even more puzzling.

It's the most popular one, maybe people just haven't played the other mods.

PM has pretty much been the most widely accepted mod in the competitive Smash community. It was even featured at Apex this year. The tournament scene for PM is huge, so much so that many of the tournaments are featuring more PM entrants than both Melee and Brawl.

people are free to rate other mods if they want, KHlover included Brawl+ in his
however, none of the others are nearly as big

Today's update was interesting but unneeded, so I'm really hoping the week ends with a character reveal. If not, the wait for the next Nintendo Direct, and the game in general is gonna be the end of me.

I kinda like the lack of more announced veterans. I don't want to know about ALL the characters before the game comes out. Especially veterans that have a strong Chance at a comeback.

Yeah I agree with this, I want lots of surprises and that includes the mystery of whether characters are back and unlockable or cut :P

I had that sentiment too a while back, but then I realized two things:

1. Since we can't control the PotD's, you'd have to avoid things like Gaf until the games release.
2. Related to 1. , that would require patience D= There's no patience when it comes to Smash

also if you're Intelliheath, you want to disprove leaks ASAP

All these bat avatars are troubling me. Is there more betting going on? D:

Yep, Troubled Bat are up for a new bet now so if we don't get new character tomorrow. He is going to sporting a beautiful Ice Bat Climber.

Edited: After seeing Trouble Bat getting new bet made me really want to make some bets.

I would laugh if there was an April 1st direct.

*In Iwata's voice*

In honor of these frachises impact in Nintendo's past, I would like to announce - DIRECTLY to you - today that there will be new Star Fox, F-Zero *snicker*, and Metroi-ahaha-d games coming to the.... Wiihihihi... Uwahahaha! *loses himself to laughter, Directly to you!*
