Super Smash Bros. for 3DS & Wii U Thread 6: Final Destination confirmed for not fun

Ive tried for several days now but I can only think of maybe 1 or 2 things from eternal darkness that can be put in smash brothers that wouldnt bump it up to a M rating.

Would buy.

Why not make it some sort of item or assist trophy where it turns on the insanity effect and messes with your TV, like it starts turning up the volume or turning off the screen or putting static or even making your character invisible. A lot of weird stuff could go on that might retain the feel of Eternal Darkness without being gory with it!

That's a pretty cool idea actually.

Back in the day, I used to write down Smash ideas, a lot of 'em. It was all for fun. One of them was Eternal Darkness' Sanity Meter! When picked up, a green bar appears next to one of your rival's icons, a lá Dragoon's items. This makes them suffer one of several Sanity Effects at random, albeit handled in a cartoony, Smash manner (becoming zombie-ish, and thus an easy target for attack,, shrinking down, having a Gooey Bomb suddenly materialize on them, etc). Ah, but the thing is, it goes from rival to rival, finally ending on you, and lasting some more seconds than your opponents did with it. The thing is to try and KO the rival who's currently under its effects so it doesn't get to ya!

It's almost that time of the day!

Hype! Disappointment! Scandals! Treachery!
Will a new character be revealed? Or will SmashGAF come crashing down yet again? Find out next time on Sakurai's Miiverse!

I couldn't think of a good name for the show

Tearing us apart so that the strong are no longer held back by the weak!

Why the heck would you play Smash Bros. with a traditional fight stick setup? You don't even get an analogue control stick, so it would be like playing with the Wiimote. Except maybe even more awful because of the button layout.

It didn't stop Smash 64 did it.

It's surprisingly fun if you've tried playing Smash Bros with an arcade stick.

Would probably be better then playing it on 3ds.
half joking

Another interesting idea.

Admittedly I haven't tried before, so maybe it works out fairly well? Maybe a fight stick with an analogue stick would be a decent enough way to play Smash. I just... can't imagine trying to use face buttons for things like shielding without it being awkward.

Then again, I don't use fight sticks in general so I can't really be considered an expert on the matter. XP

Would probably be better then playing it on 3ds.

Wow, harsh. At least the 3DS has an analogue circle pad, right?

*Smash senses tingling*

Damn, is it a two page feature or is there more?

Things I see of interest in the Famitsu scans:

1. Diddy's neutral A combo finisher against Fox
2. One of Little Mac's attacks (I think Neutral B charged, causes the home run bat eyebulge effect on D.K. ((or it is the bat)) If the former then AWESOME!

3. Giga Mac is seen uppercutting Marth.

So that's another AT down. Makes me wonder how many others from Brawl will be back also.

Also secretly wondering which stages will clash with Andross like Brawl did.

Actually everything about that, in addition to already being know, was posted very recently haha. Diddy had bananas in his reveal.

GOOD point, Smashboards!

"Not a whole lot that's new. Even in the newer screenshots. (Unless you wanted confirmation on if Diddy used the bananas for his down b)

This might renew the debate about the Phantom Knight though. Considering that if Phantom Knight is an assist trophy. It sticks out like a sore thumb because every other screenshot is the character doing one of their special or normal moves."

Also, FS's.

More fuel to the fire for the Phantom suit being a Zelda special! Especially since all the other ATs and items have been referred as such. Only certain things like Male WFT and a few other special moves like WFT's sun salute have been kept ambiguous in this way.
